The one thing that worries me with ESPN in charge is, App is going to pull eyeballs even if we play MTSU and UCF is going to pull eyeballs even if they are playing Charlotte....but...MTSU vs Charlotte is probably not pulling a lot of eyeballs. It may be in ESPN's Best interest to have the Charlotte vs USF and App vs MTSU for the overall ratings. Someone correct me if I am wrong how ESPN would think!!!

So 94 - let's assume (and I think you are correct here) NO picks ULL - are you saying that the 2nd pick would go to ESPN and it would not be the Camellia Bowl? -
ESPN gets pick 1, 3, and 4. N.O. Gets pick 2 and Camilla gets pick 5.

So to your question, ESPN will pick first and will likely skip Louisiana so that the N.O. Bowl can pick them. So we can guess that ESPN’s first two picks are App and Coastal. Then it becomes a question of whether or not they want Ga State or will they leave them for the Camilla Bowl.
Thanks - so don't you feel sure that CC will play at home? - would that count as an ESPN pick? - so here goes - ESPN passes on ULL as the number one pick so NO can get them? So if we beat ULL wouldn't we be their #1 pick regardless because they know NO will pick ULL - Pick #1 - "Pass" on ULL and pick APP - Pick #2 NO picks ULL - Pick #3 either ESPN picks GA ST or CCU and the other at Pick#4
It would suck for CCU to have to play at home for their bowl..I would think teams want to go for bowl festivities if there are any for the lower tier bowls...Now that I think about it, I hope that happens to CCU.

Hey, it sucked that their players "somehow" got access to the stadium last year for a sold-out, extremely limited capacity game and came wearing their jerseys to talk shit to App fans, but that happened. If they like going to the Myrtle Beach Bowl so much, might as well let them play in it.

I don’t think that the outcome of the CCG makes a difference either way. ULL is going to go to NO regardless of that outcome. Now, if they win the CCG and there are some massive upsets in the other G5 CCGs, they could possibly get into the NY6. They would need help though.
I think it's too late for the NY6 at this point. SDSU and UTSA are low enough that with upsets they'll be knocked off but not give the teams that beat them a significant leg up over ULL. But having both AACCG participants ranked is a problem. If they both lose their last regular season games, Houston gets unranked but Cincy stays ranked, though with a big tumble. They'd still be ranked high enough that Houston beating them in the AACCG would give Houston a better resume building win than ULL beating App, likely making Houston the NY6 rep.

Agree with all of this on merit. Would add that the CFP would surely rather have Houston than ULL for financial purposes, and whenever they CAN go with the bigger draw, they have.

ULL would obviously be a long shot anyway, but Texas crapping the bed after beating them by 20 to open the season doesn't help either.
