With Sam Howell injured and almost definitely entering the draft early, we might get a preview of the QB we will face when the Tar Heels come to Boone Sept 3rd...they play Wofford Saturday at Noon.

I seriously doubt they will come to Boone on Sept 3rd.. They may have the game to be moved to BOA or a week night. Of course with Bryce gone, they may think they can accidently win. Mack may want to redeem himself.

They aren’t backing out this late in the game.

Half our “fans” may be pulling for the Heels when we play.

I;m just not as confident as you guys - ESPN could put one of those alliance match-ups together - say UNC - Michigan or UNC-SoCal, etc., where do you think that leaves APP? You think Mack and the holes would say no to that?

If ESPN and/or UNC change the game between now and next season they will have to find a suitable replacement AND pay us a bunch of money. UNC will play in KBS next season. I really can't think of any reason they would back out now.

No, I don't see anyway this happens at all. UNC will play in Boone. Honestly, Mack was raising money for App just prior to taking the UNC job for the second time. He isn't going to screw us over. I know you have your issues with Mack, although not sure what they are, but I have not seen anything in his career that makes me think he would run from a game at App State less than 10 months away.

Personally, I have no problem with Mack (he and Sparky got us out of the doldrums). He did more good for App than many who passed through our doors, but I don't trust the Baby Blue protectionists.

I believe Mack and the Heels want a another shot at us to avenge the loss. There are players that will be on the roster from the lose. When ww lost a game, I wanted a revenge game (i.e. Coastal, Marshall). Although they do not look at us line we look at those two. Getting opportunity for revenge is getting revenge.
Hopefully we give them a warm welcome with Bombs over Bagdad and sandpaper that a$$

What I have said about Mack is - "He is a great salesman and a mediocre coach" - I didn't say I didn't like him or that he was a cheat or anything like that - I also said he was the perfect hire for UNC at the time - they needed to reestablish their "reputation" after the Fedora mess and the academic scandal - He has recruited well and established what they wanted him to do - Actually, I hope he is the coach next season when he comes to Boone, because by that time he will have over-hyped his team and the media will have bought in again --

A case might could made that Mack was a good recruiter, salesman, as well a good coach while he was at Texas the year they won the National Championship.

I like Mack...He looks lost and tired even though he’s 2 months older than Saban.
If any of you think any of the 31k at our games will pull for UNC you are crazy.
