First that is adults and second that is one shot. Keep me posted on when we reach 70% inoculated with the required amount of shots. I don't want to fight about this. My point is that some day we need to start acting like adults and get this thing under control. Stop acting like babies about wearing a mask, practice good hygiene, social distance, and get vaccinated. Variants can only come from the virus. The more we get the virus under control the more we control the variants. We need to grow up and start acting like adults. All this resistance is only prolonging the problem.

It will never be enough, it isn’t possible to stop an invisible enemy of this nature. We can slow it down but in reality nature will run its course.

Variants can come from other countries which have much lower percentages.

When are we going start acting like “adults” in all facets vs cherry picking the battles?

Sounds like not any time soon.

Listen to what Democrats said about the current vaccines available when they were looking for control. There should be little wonder why people feel the way that they do.

Yep, I don’t generally trust snips because as Politico stated, things are often spliced together without the appropriate context. The point was that this is all very political when it shouldn’t be.

Adults ≠ Population
Using the entire population to factor percentage is misleading. There are roughly 50m children under 12 in the country who aren't eligible for the vaccine, and there are another 25M between 12-18 that due to limited availability and health risks will largely go unvaccinated.

So we are nearly to 70% of adults and well over 80% of seniors being vaccinated. There will be a decent number that never get vaccinated but they are accepting the risk. We shouldn't shut down everyones lives trying to reach a goal that will never happen.

If they want more children vaccinated they need to do trials on the Novavax shot which is more traditional. I would imagine parents would be far more likely to give their kids that shot than the others which are newer and unproven technology.

Based on what I’ve read, ECU is a decent team that I think we match up pretty well with. Their biggest weakness from last year was their run defense and I think Cam, Nate, and Jahmir will establish the run early and make them stack the box.

With Corey, Henni, Malik, and everyone else out wide I think we will move the ball pretty easily once we establish the run because we’ll have single coverage outside and there’s no one on that team that can cover Corey or Henni 1 on 1.

If our weapons stay healthy across the board I don’t see a defense on our schedule that can keep up with us other than Miami and Coastal. They both have very good, fast, and athletic defenses that can keep up with our speed but other than that I think we will simply outmatch everyone.

Not sure i'd put too much stock in what the oddsmakers are saying about App/ECU. This is a somewhat friendly rivalry, but still it's a rivalry. The Pirates are well aware of App's success and their struggles since the last time they met. ECU very much sees this as a statement game. We would be foolish to take them lightly.

We should be able to score 30+ of their defense. Hoping we can hold them to 21 or less.

It will be interesting to see how many times Brice throws the ball in the first quarter, I can see Clark being conservative early to gauge the flow of the game.

Ball security must improve from last year.

Will we run to make them stack the box or pass to make them back off line thus opening run game?

Remember the logic of the spread was to make opponent play defense across a larger area and not allow them to concentrate their efforts in a more confined space. Not saying we are running the spread but the logic should still be valid.

I know from a trusted source that ECU isn’t ready for us. Period.

Stepped into the portal last night and caught the first quarter. It’s going to be a good night.

Moving son in tomorrow so we walked around a bit today. We parked at the top of the hill and caught the last few minutes of practice- before some guy yelled at us to read the signs. No idea what the drill was but we saw Brice drop at least 3 dimes all about 50 yards under pressure. I’m just going to say this. I will always love and appreciate our last 2 QB’s but if that was a snippet of what is to come that young man has a cannon.

They will forever say that. Something about painting it purple makes you think you’re the best team in the state.

They just paint the purple over the black to pretend they're the best in the state.
