Keeping Allison on the staff last year was a big reason as to why we were able to hold onto him

He would have never been hired had the previous coach never been fired, otherwise, Kerns wouldn’t have been in the position to make that decision.

More than DK were involved in that decision.A good one in my opinion.

What ended up happening to Allison?
He’s a great guy, hope he found something.
Separately- This team seems to be galvanized without KL, I’m thinking that may have been part of the reason he’s gone. The remaining guys are really gelling together.
And yes JLJ is a beast. I really enjoy watching his effort. Let’s be honest, zero of the offense goes through him. He earns everything he gets print through offensive rebounding. That reminds me sort of (and I know we hate discussing UNC here) of the Tar Heel bigs historically. I despise the heels and it is so frustrating seeing the pick up boards and using missed shots as offense. I can only imagine how teams feel against us now.

Allison is now the Interim Men's Golf coach after the previous coach left to start a college golf prep agency after less than a year in charge.
