First ever App MBB win in Halton (opened 1996) and first win over UNCC in Charlotte since 1990, which was in the second Coliseum (RIP)

Not to be a dick, just a stickler for getting our coaches names right, but it’s Kerns.

If this team can start hitting shots they can be dangerous. They have the ability to play elite defense, just need the points to go along with it.

Hey didn’t you know their ultimate frisbee team went to the regionals last year? It’s what’s going to lead them to the big time.

Love the fight of our team. We shot poorly but never gave up, and came thru clutch when needed. Our D is the truth.

Other than young, I don’t think any of their guys start over ours.

Fox loses that game by 15, Kerns has this team playing differently.

Can’t shoot worse and still won.

Which is really an indictment on how bad the state of their athletics is, considering they have been terrible the last 5 years or so.

The amount of energy and effort on offense in the second half was vastly improved versus the 1st half, but the team defense is what allowed us to win this game for sure. So proud!

We held them 8+ plus minutes without a FG to close out the game, minus that last layup they hit. That is absolutely incredible, they couldn't do anything. Our guys had a give hands, closed out on shooters, switched screens efficiently. It was a thing of beauty, you just felt the game slipping away from Charlotte. By the time they realized they were in trouble it was too late. I am so excited for our basketball program! DAG ON IT THEY PLAY HARD FROM TIP TO FINAL WHISTLE!

Always a pleasure to beat UNC Concord in anything. Our shooting will continue to get more and more consistent, but our D is already pretty special.

Hilarious. Two years in a row they’ve lost to us and ÉCU.

They may be the worst bball team in the state and it’s their flagship program.

We look great even in an ugly victory. Love this teams grit. Super excited with this group.

Kerns did a remarkable coaching job down the stretch and our players delivered. Future looks bright. Nice win.
UNCC fans can’t be too down. After all, they have the light rail stop near their campus and and a pick axe C logo to ease their pain.

Defense travels. That was outstanding! That kind of D and getting to the FT line will take us a long way. Love seeing the growth of Delph and Gregory and the consistent play of Kendall Lewis. Great to see Dustin so fired up as they headed to the locker room too. He’s got it going!
