It sounds like there are other things with DBG. I don't think he fit in with us exactly and I expect him to enter portal before December and play elsewhere.
We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

Re: DBG
He did indeed. I know many accuse Drink, and I have said so as well, of being a politician and saying what he thinks you want to hear instead of what is really true. So with that said my question is does Drink go after him big time? I would expect Missouri to want him badly. Wouldn't you think so?BarefootApp wrote: ↑Tue Sep 08, 2020 3:28 pmCompton. I remember Drink making a big deal out of recruiting and signing him. Played at IMG.

Re: DBG
Shuler has already passed DBG on the depth chart. I wouldn't think DBG plays a game in the black and gold. I expect him to transfer somewhere closer to home in california.

Re: DBG
I don't expect Zac to transfer for another year. If he plays college ball next year, it will probably be for App. That decision hasn't worked out very well for the WF QB.kornegaylw wrote: ↑Tue Sep 08, 2020 9:10 pmIf Zac comes back then it would make sense to transfer...I can see Zac transferring if he decides to have another year though. He knew what he was getting into with the amount of eligibility Zac had left when he signed

The NCAA has granted an extra year to all Fall athletes this year, regardless of whether they play or not. Effectively, this season doesn't count.SpeedkingATL wrote: ↑Wed Sep 09, 2020 1:16 pmI though Zac was now playing his 4th year....how does he get another year of eligibility unless he sits out??

For the Fall. They plan on a Spring season. Besides if he transferred he wouldn't be eligible this year anyway.Black Saturday wrote: ↑Wed Sep 09, 2020 3:01 pmDidn't the Left coast cancel sports?AppStateNews wrote: ↑Wed Sep 09, 2020 8:00 amShuler has already passed DBG on the depth chart. Re: DBG
Why wouldn't Drink want him at Missouri? As much as he talked him up I would think he would want him and I don't see a P5 out on the west coast wanting him on scholarship. If he goes to west coast I would think he ends up at a FCS school or maybe somewhere like SDSU or SJSU or Fresno State. Or do you have a school in mind?AppStateNews wrote: ↑Wed Sep 09, 2020 8:00 amShuler has already passed DBG on the depth chart. I wouldn't think DBG plays a game in the black and gold. Re: DBG
According to 24/7 Sports site DBG had offers from many schools before committing to Appalachian. The list includes: LSU, Florida, Florida State, Ole Miss, Georgia, Oregon St., Arizona, Colorado St., Indiana, and Missouri. If he decides to go elsewhere there are probably several programs who would be interested. Would not be surprising to see him follow Drink to Mizzou or maybe head back to the west coast if he still has family there he would like to be closer to. BUT...I still hope we get to see him taking snaps for the Mountaineers in the next year or so.

Drink may try to get him to Mizzou... But it may not be what DBG wants.AppStFan1 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 09, 2020 4:15 pmWhy wouldn't Drink want him at Missouri? Re: DBG
I am not sure why so many seem to think he is leaving the team. He opted out for the season because of Covid, and he isn't the only one that has done this. I will take it at face value that he has concerns about exposure until he says something that is different.

Re: DBG
I hope he stays. But highly doubt he does. Covid isn't the only reason he opted out. It just gave him another free year to do so.t4pizza wrote: ↑Thu Sep 10, 2020 1:58 pmI am not sure why so many seem to think he is leaving the team.
