Re: Attention Club Seat Holders
I got it. Doesn’t matter anyway. I’ve written off this season attending anything

Re: Attention Club Seat Holders
Jiminy Christmas...seriously c-o-m -p-l-i-c-a-t-e-d...that's my story and I'm stickin' to it. Lengthy discussion about ticketing for the Charlotte game...led by Teresa Eggers, Suzette Mauney and Doug Gillin plus others. Topics included...we are definitely playing Charlotte on Sat. 9.12 (with or w/o fans); assigning seats according to YC cumulative points ranking; masks and distancing arrangements; pick-up of Charlotte tickets and parking tag on Thurs, Fri or Sat of game week (no tickets will be mailed)...assuming, of course, that Gov. Cooper doesn't blow up our scheme with his lockdown levels; ticket donations; ticket refunds; ticket deferral to next season with some incentives; and much, much more. There's a ticketing FAQ on the appstatesports.com website. A recording of the meeting was made and can be requested from Teresa or Suzette.
The Charlotte game will be widely televised...with the network and details set to be announced early next week. Definite announcement about lockdown level expected from the Gov. early next week.
There was some discussion of athletic department financials. DG spoke about expenses and gave the example of NCAA required Covid-19 testing of all competing athletes at least once every week. DG got into this early and got a contract with a national testing company that guaranteed accurate and speedy test results at $100 per test. App is testing 250 athletes...that's $25,000.00 per week, every week. That was mind-numbing until he said that the SEC is testing three times per week.

It's 4:15 AM...request the recording...I'm turning into a pumpkin w/o further comment!

OK, so I lied about the pumpkin...gotta get this in...gotta say that we are soooo fortunate to have one hell-of-an athletic staff. They are super positive considering they're having to reinvent literally everything about their jobs plus having to factor in furloughs and the extra pressure of fundraising during a pandemic lockdown. They are great problem-solvers and they're getting a lot of practice at it as changes are coming at them at warp speed!
It's great to be a Mountaineer & great that they are Mountaineers!
I'm outta here!

Re: Attention Club Seat Holders
Agree on Athletic Dept. Doing a great job trying to manage the "unmanageable". I recently purchased NEZ level seats. I have not been in nYosef Club and only purchased NEZ seats without YC additional contribution. As such, given seating capacity limitations, I have virtually zero chance at getting seats this year if capacity is limited. I am okay with that. The individuals that have been vested in program and higher YC ranking should get priority. I plan to defer my seats to next year and excited for future.asu66 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 28, 2020 3:14 amJiminy Christmas...seriously c-o-m -p-l-i-c-a-t-e-d...that's my story and I'm stickin' to it. DG indicated that ESPN is starving for live sports. Hopefully the announcements in coming week and weeks are that we will have more games move up from E+ to the TV family of ESPN networks. Could be great exposure for program!
