Foul 4 on Forrest was an absolute joke. Standing straight up hands straight up, really can't explain it.

His name is Justin Forrest and from what I've seen in his body language is the exact opposite. I've seen at least three times him pick up his teammates after they make a mistake. I've seen him run down a ball that was out of bounds and ULAR possession but he went and got it because no one from their team was. I get that a portion of this board doesn't like him but some of these bogus narratives need to stop. We would be down 30 at least without him.app97 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 01, 2020 4:20 pmWhat happened to our stout defense? We have a certain wing player that makes quite a few low IQ plays and then hangs his head. That’s one thing I’ve noticed is that we haven’t quite gotten over some of the body language issues from the last few years when things don’t go well. It’s a work in progress, though.

BS, Little Rock is good, but not this good, it’s just their day I guess when your hitting bombs at 60%

App is shooting as good as LR
App: 72% fg - 59% 3pt
LR: 65% fg - 59% 3pt
Rebounds and turnovers seem to be the difference

Apparently their coach has done a tremendous job in year 2...as it’s been mentioned 17 times today

LR is the best team in the conference and couldn’t have played a better game. We only lost by ten that is a good showing.
Guys played hard and ran into a better team at their best.
Check that dirty push for Vegas, lost by 7.

That was one of the better games I've seen from our guys.

Little Rock is good, but a few rotations on defense could have made this a more favorable outcome for us. I’ve never seen an App team shoot 70%. Williams shot 100% on 7-7 and 3-3 from deep. Several others only missed one shot. Of course, LR shot pretty darn well too.

Sorry, Navy, but we’re not talking about the same player. Forrest is the PG for the most part. I referred to a wingNavyApp wrote: ↑Sat Feb 01, 2020 4:25 pmHis name is Justin Forrest and from what I've seen in his body language is the exact opposite. Maybe he’s trying to imply a guy instead of calling him out by name. Some on this board don’t react well to criticism.

Big next few games for the conference tournament. With Georgia Southern & Georgia St losing the number #2 is very much in reach. In-fact if we can take these next two home games and beat Georgia St on the road we'll be in the #2 slot.
At the very least the #4 slot still looks really achievable with our tiebreaker over Arkansas St since they look likely to drop another game today and they've got a tough schedule including two games with UALR left.

Fourth would’ve made me happy coming into the season. But a chance at second? Wow!agentpaul001 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 01, 2020 5:58 pmBig next few games for the conference tournament. Arkansas St just lost which is helpful. Just a few games separating top & bottom of conference. Hopefully UALR keeps rolling and ULM steals a couple.
If we go 6-2 with a win over Georgia St we’ll be in two spot and 5-3 with a little luck probably gets us there.
If we bring same energy from this weekend back home this team could very well do it.

Honestly, we probably played as well as we could. Our ceiling just isn't what LR's ceiling is.
If you told me beforehand we'd score 86 today, I'd take it every time.

I had stuff going on and was only able to kind of pay attention to the game towards the end but why weren't we fouling at the end? Looked to me like we basically conceded the game with a minute and some seconds to go and down like 10. I realize it's unlikely but make them hit their free throws and if they don't then we go for threes...ended up losing by only 7 (2 threes and 1 foul shot for OT). Perhaps I missed something but I was expecting aggressive play at the end instead of just watching the guy dribble...

The game was well in hand before we cut it to 10 in the closing minute. The final score says we lost by 7 and that's because we did hit a couple of late 3's but it never felt that close in the second half.Rick83 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 02, 2020 8:30 amI had stuff going on and was only able to kind of pay attention to the game towards the end but why weren't we fouling at the end? Gotcha. I wasn't able to follow too closely and thought we were down like 10 with like 1:05ish to go..NavyApp wrote: ↑Sun Feb 02, 2020 9:57 amThe game was well in hand before we cut it to 10 in the closing minute. Overwhelming firepower .We played as well as I’ve seen in a long time these past three games but we don’t have the quality or quantity of talent of ULR .Thats not to say they can’t be beat but it would take an off night against anyone in the league at this point. The upside is that we could win out by playing at our current level. Could. As an aside I don’t like having non-football playing schools in our league .
