It’s. The. Option. They run the offense that bad HS teams run because they don’t have the athletes like other teams. There’s a reason 0 P5 teams run the option as their base offense.BeauFoster wrote: ↑Thu Oct 31, 2019 9:07 pmThe defense can’t be faulted too much, they’ve been on the damn field the whole game because we keep trying to run the ball up the gut.

And it's kicking our ass. For the second year in a row. Under two different coaching staffs.MrCraig wrote: ↑Thu Oct 31, 2019 9:15 pmIt’s. The. Option. We are done. No conference championship without help. Out of rankings and NY6 a pipe dream. Ga Southern has prepared well the last 2 years. Playing like this we may lose 3 in a row.

Haha for real. Not sure how we can be talking smack about their “lesser athletes” while they make our line look like middle schoolers.VNova wrote: ↑Thu Oct 31, 2019 9:16 pmAnd it's kicking our ass. Only way we have a chance here is forcing a turnover. I don’t see that happening, but you never know.

Re: GSU @ App St. Game Thread
What makes matters worse is that now for two straight years we’ve proven ourselves incredibly overrated with the rankings.
I suspect we won’t be looked at so favorably next season if we start off hot again.
Two years in a row we will have garnered national attention, then laid a massive egg on ESPN.
Do it a couple years in a row and people start to remember.

Lunsford has our number. The last two years they physically abused us. They do a good job being the underdog spoiler.
Well maybe we can get back to playing now that we got this out of our system...

and that's another GSU first down....... we look a bad as I've ever seen us. This is certainly not better than it's ever been done.
They are beating us up.

Re: GSU @ App St. Game Thread
I kept saying I rather not be ranked until after this game. I know being ranked makes people feel good but we really needed to win this game and next week to earn it in my mind. GSU is a good team. When I saw the forecast I thought we win a super close one but we can't even make it close to have a shot to win.ah59396 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 31, 2019 9:21 pmWhat makes matters worse is that now for two straight years we’ve proven ourselves incredibly overrated with the rankings.

at the game. last year Zac would have scrambled out of most of these well covered pass coverage plays. there’s tons of his usual running lanes avail.
