That’s good to know. I don’t think he is quite ready yet but we shall see.ComebackShack wrote: ↑Tue Jan 01, 2019 4:58 pmI did reach out to Duck and he said that Roof played no part in the decision to leave. He trusts drink, its just his time to make his money.
We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

Re: Coach Drink Staff Thread
Dang, this thread just took a downhill turn. Really sucks losing duck. Love watching him play. He is fast, plays hard and has a lot of emotion. I wish him luck in the NFL, but I do feel this is a mistake.
Cardwell has been a spark plug on our sideline since our first championship run. He has always fired up the crowd and given his all for Louisville.... I mean Appalachian.
I kinda saw this coming with naming Watts the TE coach, but it’s always hard to see someone leave who truly wants to be here.
I REALLY hope Dorsey honors his comittment to App and comes on board. His experience and “brand” makes up for a lackluster hire of Roof if indeed it is him.
I really wish we could finalize our staff as the limbo has drawn on long enough for players and us as fans.

I'm betting they're all aboard by the end of the recruiting dead period on Jan. 10th. They'll all have assigned territories by 1/10 and will be on the road or in the sky on 1/11.*

Re: Coach Drink Staff Thread
It’s not all gloom and doom folks, Cardwell and Duck were already discussed on here (in certain coded language) as being gone, so no surprise there. Gasparato was the big unknown along with Roof, one confirmed, one to go.
Now, I could see Dorsey being lured back to UM, but I felt like this job was going to be a chance for him to get his feet wet with a strong program and he would be gone back to the 305 sooner than later. Just hope it’s not this soon.
Love you Greg, but stay off the Twitter and worry about your team and rehabbing that foot.

Greg, worry about finding good coaches for the Panthers, once that happens, then you can recruit for your Alma Mater

Sounds like a plan! The elbow is almost back to 100% so I hope to try out the swing soon.
We don't slide at Appalachian State. It's a sign of weakness.

Re: Coach Drink Staff Thread
One of the coaches on staff told me that a couple scouts who saw him in the fall suggested Duck stay because he was borderline to get drafted. With over 100 players coming out every year I would not like those odds.ComebackShack wrote: ↑Tue Jan 01, 2019 4:58 pmI did reach out to Duck and he said that Roof played no part in the decision to leave. I really thought he would want to come back and do something special? He could have been part of a nationally ranked team and earn All-America honors next year.
I wish him luck and will never wish poorly on our own. Just don't think he will be happy with his decision after the draft. He should have left here a top 100 draft pick but just don't see it happening this year. If he is undrafted I will feel awful for this kid. He is the type of character I want in our players. Great guy so hopefully it proves us all wrong about what the NFL will think.

I'm not upset about Cardwell going. I like him personally and thank him for what he did but if I had to pick between Gasparato or Cardwell then I would take Gasparato.appstatealum wrote: ↑Tue Jan 01, 2019 8:42 pmIt’s not all gloom and doom folks, Cardwell and Duck were already discussed on here (in certain coded language) as being gone, so no surprise there. Dorsey definitely could be lured back. We are a better situation right now but if his alma mater offers him say the same money or more (which they can definitely offer more) I'm sure he is gone.

The only thing I’ve seen about Dorsey going to Miami was Third Leg Greg’s suggestion tweet. Fedora is the main name for OC at the U.
