It is a great time to be a Mountaineer. Great coaching by Billy today. Rodons unblemished record is now officially Rodone!

Huge win today for the Diamond Apps against Nc State. Beat one of the best pitchers in college baseball and looked solid all around today. Solid defense, pitching, and offense. The experience for most these guys returning has really paid off.

Being reported on Twitter that App and State will now only play one game tomorrow with a 1 pm start time. One game for the sweep.

Re: Appalachian @ NC State - Roll Call
Go for the sweep today! Just one game. Maybe the weather & snow gives App an advantage!?!
Wish I could make it to Raleigh today, but I just got in from a trip. So I (App State Alum) will plan to listen with my Dad (NC State Alum), our oldest son (NC State Soph) before he heads back to school today, and our yougest son still in high school (He plans to & better go to ASU
).
Go Mountaineers!!

Re: Appalachian @ NC State - Roll Call
What is sad is they did not play 2 games on Friday when the temp was in the 60's. Everyone in Raleigh knew the game on Saturday was most likely going to be either a rain/snow out... Furthermore, these games have been cancelled outright rather than trying to make up later in the season. A big blow to our SoS given the number of top 25 teams on our schedule are minimal.Goapps15 wrote:Per twitter:

Really sad they couldn't get the field ready for the game today.

Re: Appalachian @ NC State - Roll Call
Just went by field... Not a speck of snow and infield is dragged. No signs of standing water. State players are prepping for practice. Overheard a state fan ask a player if the field was just too wet and the player responded I have no clue why we are not playing today.
If I can figure out how to post a picture of the field from my phone to the board I will.
Seems to me they simply didn't want to risk losing a series to us.

Could be, but it seems to me that by not playing today they did lose the series.AppDawg wrote:Seems to me they simply didn't want to risk losing a series to us.

Seems to me maybe they borrowed or used some of the same Tarhole fertilizer on the field. Some really fresh chicken sh__t.AppDawg wrote:Just went by field...
