Re: Penn state hotels
Staying in Philly on Friday after taking in the Cubs/Phillies. Going to the game and then going back to Harrisburg. Hotels in State College are insane.

Re: Penn state hotels
Not many quality hotels for any reasonable rates at this point in the State College area....my advice is to stay at a nice hotel in Philly, enjoy a Philly cheese steak, run the steps like Rocky.

Renting a RV with 7 friends and driving up from Winston Salem. 3 Penn State grads and 4 App State grads.

Re: Penn state hotels
Not sure when we will know a concrete time but PSU is known for having their season openers at 12 noon. So I would plan on that for now.DontPlayWithYosef wrote: ↑Fri Mar 09, 2018 12:20 amOur group is staying in Pittsburgh....when will we know what time we kick-off?
Our group is 10 deep. 5 for each team. Found an Air BnB. Not cheap but puts everyone together within walking distance of stadium, restaurants, and bars.
Not expecting us to win this one but I was grown up on PSU football so I've been waiting YEARS for this game to happen and will be there with our 5 month old son. Gotta teach that boy that we follow App everywhere from a young age! haha

Re: Penn state hotels
Ok. Two of my Penn State alum coworkers said Harrisburg vs Altoona. They said if driving up I 81 it was good and that there was more to do and more lodging options. I’m finding rooms in State College in the high $200 but no Saturday drive time required.

We are doing the RV park adventure. Sounds like a blast to me. Pretty sweet set up and lots of stuff provided. Can't get here soon enough!!
