Re: Georgia State Game
I’ll be there with the family, making a trip to the aquarium.
I’m afraid they’ll score a TD against us. Hart is a great WR and oline playing much better.

Re: Georgia State Game
Not that it really matters, but I'm generally pulling for any SBC team we play this year when they face a team we don't. So, nice win for GSU.
USA is so overrated.

Re: Georgia State Game
I thought GaST looked much better on both sides - agree Hart is a great WR - I agree with teams we don't play losing to teams we do ---

Re: Georgia State Game
Though GSU looked good, do believe ULM and SA were a bit overrated coming in. But all of our remaining games will probably be competitive it seems.

Re: Georgia State Game
Exactly. USA has one quality win over Troy who was clearly still celebrating the LSU win. USA didn't look good in that win, but Troy gave them so many chances it finally bit them.EastHallApp wrote: ↑Thu Oct 26, 2017 9:37 pmNot that it really matters, but I'm generally pulling for any SBC team we play this year when they face a team we don't. Re: Georgia State Game
They've gotten a lot of mileage out of their two inexplicably good nonconference wins last year, such that people consider them one of the Sun Belt's better teams despite the fact that they went 2-6 in conference play (not to mention 4-7 overall vs. FBS teams).JTApps1 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 27, 2017 9:13 amExactly. I think mainly it just grinds my gears a little when they get thrown into the "App's conference schedule is so soft" talking point, i.e., "App doesn't even have to play A-State, Troy or South Alabama!" First two, sure. Last one, who cares?

Re: Georgia State Game
USA probably is a bit over rated this year, but they have been a team that was extremely inconsistent and when "on" their game, they were capable of playing very well. They completely dominated App in 2014, although that was a couple of weeks before the lights came on for our program. In 2015 they gave us an extremely tough game as well though. Honestly, I can't figure them out at all.

Re: Georgia State Game
As embarrassing as the Liberty loss the following week was, that USA game was just as bad IMO. Factor in bone-chilling winds (in early October) and the "stripe the stadium" flop, and it was overall one of the saddest experiences I've ever had in KBS.Yosef84 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 27, 2017 11:16 amUSA probably is a bit over rated this year, but they have been a team that was extremely inconsistent and when "on" their game, they were capable of playing very well. I'm with you on that. It was one of the most miserable home game experiences I've ever had in KBS.EastHallApp wrote: ↑Fri Oct 27, 2017 11:23 amAs embarrassing as the Liberty loss the following week was, that USA game was just as bad IMO. Re: Georgia State Game
Concerning the rest of the games on our schedule Georgia State "scares" me. UMass, Monroe, The Stink, and LaLa, if we stay focused should be wins. Let me tell ya, Shawn Elliott is going to have GaSt ready and focused for our game. Once again, we can't take anyone for granted particularly Elliott's team, just have an eerie feeling. Just a thought.

Re: Georgia State Game
I'll be at the game over Thanksgiving break, bringing a few with me. Planning on heading down friday to check out Stone Mountain Park and then tailgating for the game Saturday. I've never purchased tickets for an away game before other then the bowl games. I can purchase them through App's ticket office, right?

Re: Georgia State Game
Yes, though I'm not sure when the deadline is for them to ship them. I've always just ordered my away game tickets before the season. Plus in some cases the visiting team returns unsold tickets, though I'm not sure what the point of that would be here. But if you just call within the next couple weeks I'd imagine you'll be fine.CoachRob wrote: ↑Fri Oct 27, 2017 12:38 pmI'll be at the game over Thanksgiving break, bringing a few with me. Re: Georgia State Game
If you're taking I-85 to the game be aware of major road construction NORTHbound around Spartanburg. But southbound I-85 slows down around Cowpens. I traveled it on Friday afternoon a couple of weeks ago... can only imagine what Thanksgiving weekend will be like!
