There is a reason not to get too excited about ASU basketball. Just when you think something good is about to happen...

I assumed a loss to begin with and I could have accepted it but it is hard to swallow a 19 point meltdown.

I NEVER NEVER NEVER want to hear about Houston's loss at Furman back in 2007. This is the lowest point for Appalachian basketball since Press Maravich, and at least he had a good reason.

Horrible meltdown, about the the worst way to possibly lose a game.

That said, win Saturday and come home with a 1-1 road trip. I'm not giving up on the season.

Rebounding in the 2nd half and turnovers cost us the game. Back to our old ways.

Lost a 19 point lead, UTC never led until <1 min.......did we have a single offensive rebond allnight???

How do you figure this is worse than the early 2000's? We are 7-9. We went 11-20 in 2000, 10-18 in 2001 and 9-21 in 2004. All three are worse than any season under Capel.

Agreed. I can't see them rebounding from this disaster. If they do it would be Capel's best coaching job since this ranks among his worst.

I think teams are beginning to learn to press us as we can't handle it.

Well, uh...

I said 1-1 road trip would make me happy, so...

Beat Samford and we're still in the hunt for the North. The SoCon has had some head scratchers. Too early to give up yet. Just be glad this loss wasn't in February. Still very disheartening after all the momentum this team had built.
