Re: Opening line for UMass
I think it could be possible, but we'd have to be more healthy than this past week.MDaniels84 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 23, 2017 12:57 pmI would like to see our defense DOMINATE come Saturday. I want qb hurries, sacks, tackles for loss, stonewall their running backs, just shut them down. On offense, I want to see smash mouth, run it down your throat game plan with passes mixed for good measure. I want to treat them like red headed step children, ruin their Saturday, hit their qb so hard that it hurts his grandchildren , then score one more time just for good measure. However, I will take a one point, bite your fingernails, type of victory like we seem to be having this year. Carry on.![]()

I’m personally glad UMass won last weekend. I was worried we might not be as focused playing a winless team. Now we know they can win and score points so hopefully we’ll be ready.

This vegas line scares me to death. One would think we should easily take care of business up there but looks like we are in for another close one that comes down to the wire....

Re: Opening line for UMass
Maybe reverse psychology will come into play. We get large spreads and turn them into close games. This tight spread turns into a blowout. Yeah! That's the ticket!

Re: Opening line for UMass
The lines are posted with news that affect the line. Jalin Moore is listed as questionable. Once he is cleared to play then I can see the line going up. I could be wrong, but while we are 5-2, I believe that we are 1-5 against the spread. We haven’t covered has the favorite so I think the line is reflecting that as well.

The money line is down to -200. It looks like they are expecting App to win outright.
