I personally don't think the government can banish the purchase or ownership of personal firearms, i.e. handguns, shotguns, or certain rifles for use in defense purposes. I'm sure they can make it harder to purchase one, but being a law abiding citizen, I'm not going to worry about that. As a law abiding citizen, I now own 3 handguns for my person defense and shooting at targets at an indoor range. Or shooting at someone that attempts to break into my home. Hopefully, I won't have to shoot at that stupid person because it is my hope and desire that the laser shining off of his chest will persuade that person to leave. A shotgun would work well in the defense of my home, too, but I don't own one of those.

Personally, I could care less if they completely banish assault rifles. They should be in the hands of law enforcement and the military, that's it. Unless of course you can spot a potential robber making his/her way to your home with the intent to break in from 1000yds away, there is no need for the regular Joe to have one.

All of the above is my personal opinion and I don't intend to defend my own personal opinion. Just a disclaimer. :D

What deadline? I don't think you have anything to worry about. The only thing at risk is high capacity magazines and maybe(big maybe) assault style guns. "Assault" is inflammatory and highly misleading but the media created it and it's not going anywhere.

The sale of them?

I think you should barricade yourself in your house with your guns because Obama is coming to get them. Also you should start hoarding money because he wants that too. While you are at it keep your eyes on your grandma cause he hates old people too. Oh yea he is a baby killin muslim too. :? :? :? :?

My opinion: Since Sam died Wall-Mark has gone to hell in a hand basket. (That could be a fact) My opinion again is yes the "gun grabbers" want to eliminate ALL sales of fire arms any kind any way anywhere. Probably won't get that done but that is the desire. and no one can tell me what I need or don't need in a fire arm just as I can't tell someone they don't NEED a Corvette or a Hummer or a Fiskar. If I want to protect my home with a 10 Ga pump, a Stag rifle, a big dog or barbed wire its my choice to decide what I need. Let the Government protect the Country I'll protect me. and I love my Country because I love moonshine!
