Back in my day (07 or 08 season I forgot) I once saw a dude in a wheel chair disguise a pony keg as an oxygen tank and pour cold ones from the thing on the hill for an entire game. Times sure have changed.

Super bummer I can't wear my fanny pack anymore.

Each fan can bring one of these bags. The contents of the diaper bag is not banned, it just has to be packed in the clear bag.
What can fans substitute for diaper bags?

Diapers and other baby supplies can be carried in a clear bag. Each member of a family, including children, is allowed to carry one approved band and a clutch into the stadium.
That's what I do. I gripe and I know things.

Yup. And that's why we will make it work. My wife just typically carried a bag bigger than the allowed size when we didnt have a child. Add in the multiple diapers, bottles, clothing, toys, etc. for the baby, and it will be tight. But, we will make it happen!

The changes are reasonable, but the problem is notice. Inevitably, many won't get the memo and there will be some angry people at the gate this year. It will cause delays and people might just decide not to see the game at all rather than choose between throwing a bag away or going to the parking lot and back.

And I thought some of my methods of sneaking airplane bottles in were genius. This guy has me beat.

Here's the thing I don't understand....They currently check all bags (Or are supposed to) at the gate. If all bags are checked it shouldn't matter if the bag is made of leather or clear plastic. Also, should someone desire to bring a weapon into the stadium and they are aware of the clear bag policy. Don't you think they would then carry that weapon in a more discrete place on their body?

Thats the point of the policy. It will be quicker to check the bags since they can just look through them instead of digging into the bag.

I don't mind the policy at all and think its needed. It will certainly speed up the process of getting in (after people get used to it).

I see notification as being quite well. It's on this site, it's on the athletic site. It should be emailed to all Yosef Club members and season ticket holders. It should be sent to the W-S Journal, Observer, N-O in Raleigh.... in fact to all newspapers and outlets in a 200 mile radius. In 2017 there is no excuse for not being informed.
We don't slide at Appalachian State. It's a sign of weakness.

Luckily this is common practice at most stadiums these days so it shouldn't be a shock to a large number of fans. Plus if we are smart we'd have a table selling Appalachian branded bags outside the gate. For a reasonable price of course.

The ones they sold outside the gate at the Ravens stadium for the Army Navy game were not cheap at all. For those that need em better bring your own, lol.

Totally support this. This was implemented at Panthers games several years ago and it was a huge help in the bottleneck of getting into BOA stadium, due to security not having to physically go through purses and bags. And yes there are still pissed off people at every game that have to ditch their bag before entering.
Just decided what I will get my wife for Mother's Day...a clear plastic purse with a block A.

Yeah I'm not saying you're wrong, but the A Dept can do all those things and more and still have thousands miss the memo.

As long as they are clear and see-through, I don't see a problem. 8-)
