3/15 game in Durham
It looks like the only baseball game in the triangle this season is on March 15. It would be great to pack the old Durham Bulls' stadium with Black & Gold to support our Diamond Apps.
Circle it on your calendars now to make sure we have a big turnout.

I just called the NCCU ticket office and admission is FREE for the 3/15 game in Durham. Let's pack this place with BLACK & GOLD.

Re: 3/15 game in Durham
7-2 bottom of the 9th, NCCU has two on and no one out.
Edit: no outs, bases loaded...
Edit2: no outs, two on, run in 7-3, run scored on a wild pitch. Our bullpen really is struggling thus far this season.
Edit3: tying run at the plate, no one out
Apps win 7-5

For RPI watchers (and I admit to being one), we're currently 60th in the country. We're also the highest-rated Sun Belt team. Louisiana-don't-call-me-Lafayette, which we play this weekend, is next at 73rd.

I would assume that's in part a result of the schedule we have endured thus far. Not a lot of cupcakes thus far.AppGrad78 wrote:For RPI watchers (and I admit to being one), we're currently 60th in the country. We're also the highest-rated Sun Belt team. Re: 3/15 game in Durham
This team handled the road well this season. We've posted a 7-9 road/neutral field record. Outside of our first weekend opponents, everyone we have played and lost to has pretty stellar records. That's a big portion of RPI calculations. If we start swinging the bat, this program could get turned around in a hurry.

It would also help to find a reliable bullpen. However, it's hard to complain with our start given the level of the opposition.

Re: 3/15 game in Durham
This team will only get better. Baseball players feed off of each other big time. I'm sure they will love to get some home games at some point. Come on Spring!!

Re: 3/15 game in Durham
I love that we scheduled so many teams that wound up ranked for the first half of the season. That's what it will take to get these boys noticed when Kermit eventually puts together a team that has the talent/experience to make a post season run.
