stAte vs Georgia - We need to renegotiate
Arkansas State gets game at Georgia and will receive $1.8 million payout. We get a paltry $1 million for playing UGA next year.

Re: stAte vs Georgia - We need to renegotiate
Our game was signed in September of 2014, our transition year. CFB payouts have gone up since then and we travel by bus not plane.
We don't have a P5 game one and done game on the schedule past 2018. Hearing a lot of rumors about NC/SC schools, but nothing concrete yet.

Well...all I'm going to say is that I'm thinking that our game at UGA next year will be our first P5 win since Michigan. I'm planning to be there. ALSO, I think we'll be ranked in the top 25 early in the season as a result of wins over UGA and Wake Forest.

At this point I'm just hoping we can beat Wake. They don't look like the relatively easy win they did when we signed that series.

With what we've got coming back, if we're relatively healthy, I'm not worried about Wake. Not that they'll be a pushover but, this year they had an FCS win over Delaware and several of their other wins were very close that could've easily gone the other way. We'll see tougher competition in the SBC in my opinion...but it's going to be a fun and wild environment at The Rock for that game. My brother-in-law is a life long Wake fan and he's planning on coming up with me to the game...it's going to be epic.

The Tennessee game was a reminder that the boys from App State come ready to play. With that being said, I think we keep the UGA game close, but lose by a respectable margin. Wake will be one hell of a game. Probably will remain close, which will keep fans around longer (Hopefully). Winnable, but too far in the future to predict.

Miami was a reminder too./\PP ST/\TE GRAD 09 wrote:The Tennessee game was a reminder that the boys from App State come ready to play. I'd take a split with UGA and Wake next year right now no questions asked.

Re: stAte vs Georgia - We need to renegotiate
Miami caught us in an over-hyped situation and we got our tails whipped...but that was the only bad outing we had this year. There's a reason why Wake stopped playing us, and as a reminder, they kept playing other FCS...just not us...who's an hour and a half from their stadium and whose fans inter-mingle throughout the Triad. Even many of the games we lost to them way, way back in our FCS days were close and came down to the wire. I wouldn't be surprised at all if UGA beats us, although I think we have a good chance against them, but i would be surprised if Wake beats us.
