We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

Re: Mr. Yosef
Well the man gave it all to his last days. Rare dedication indeed. I cant remember if I told the Board ( I didnt know he was ill at the time) but I found an old 1951 Program of Appalachian vs. Elon with Gerald's 185lb picture in the program. Gave it to him at the Miami game.

Oh, how my heart hurts for Julia and their families! How in the world can we honor the legacy Gerald leaves behind?

Never had a conversation with him, but always saw him around the games in the Yosef Room. I know he will be missed and has done a lot of great things for our great University.

Re: Mr. Yosef
Very sad to hear this. I had lunch with Gerald many times when he came calling for samples for the golf tournament.
Thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Rough day for the Appalachian family. As a former intern in Yosef club, had many great conversations with Gerald and he was a true advocate for App and student athletes. Haven't seen any information around arraignments, if anything comes out, please share to send flowers or a donation on his behalf!

Ok next game right after the color guard presents the flag the announcer makes an announcement about Gerald's passing with his picture on the Video Board followed by a moment of silence ......play Appalachian Summer and then the National Anthem.

Re: Mr. Yosef
I last talked to him last year when he called me at work for my pledge, such a down to earth guy who loved App. Someone better have a size 18 to fill those shoes. RIP, and prayers to his family.

Re: Mr. Yosef
This is such sad news. From the first day I met Gerald and Julia they made you feel like you had known them all of your life. What a special man and he did give his all everyday for Appalachian State. Daphne's comment made me think about ways to honor Gerald. Wouldn't it be great if we all could promote the passion, love, and carrying for Appalachian that Gerald had? We probably could never fill his black and gold shoes, but I think it would a great honor to him if we tried our best.
We will be keeping Julia and family in our prayers

Re: Mr. Yosef
My favorite line was when he would put out both hands with all those rings on them and ask " which one of these is the most important?" The person would either pick one of the championship rings or say I don't know. Gerald would point to his wedding band and say " This one".

Re: Mr. Yosef
Every donation I make to App from today forward will end in 66 for the 66 years he was a part of the Appalachian Family.
Like many of us who have spent time around our athletic program, I had the pleasure of speaking with Gerald on several occasions. Each time he made me feel like a long time friend. And isn't that what being a part of the Appalachian Family is all about?! Thank you Gerald for showing us the way. God speed my friend. God speed!
