wait, was that their defense that scored long bomb against duck?AppAlum1 wrote:There is one obvious reason why App State was not faking injury there at the end of the ball game. I don't think anyone else has mentioned it.
WE HAD ABSOLUTELY NO PROBLEM WITH THE SPEED OF THEIR OFFENSE! IN FACT THE TENN OFFENSE DID NOT SCORE A TD IN REGULATION.
The closest they could do is recover a fumble in the end zone -- and we shoulda had that one.
So, all those Tenn. fans can kiss my Apps! Excuses anyone?

Yeah. Or another way to put it, that was one of, maybe two, significant catches their all-American receiver had against our true freshman.APPRIDE wrote:wait, was that their defense that scored long bomb against duck?AppAlum1 wrote:There is one obvious reason why App State was not faking injury there at the end of the ball game. And it was still a well defended pass. Duck forced the all-american to make a play.AppinVA wrote:Yeah. To be clear, my point was not to cast doubt on Duck's play in any way, he played fantastic for sure but that UT did have an offensive TD in regulation. I am a stickler for details.AppinVA wrote:Yeah. As long as you don't count the 67-yard TD pass they completed in the 3rd quarter, this is true enough...AppAlum1 wrote:IN FACT THE TENN OFFENSE DID NOT SCORE A TD IN REGULATION.

I stand corrected. Yes, they scored a TD on that bomb.ASU3432Mi wrote:Was the UT touchdown pass that tied the game not in regulation??
My real point in my post though was that, unlike last year, we had absolutely no problem with their up-tempo offense. Hence, we had no motivation to roll around and fake cramps, like a soccer player going for a red card and an Emmy. And thus, I was questioning the football intelligence of the Tennessee fans who booed during the injuries, and the gooberhead Vol fan who posted his "explanation" on our MMB.
Plain and simple, we outplayed Tenn. & shoulda won that game. Will App be in the top 25? Dunno, but we should be.
Has anyone else noticed that the Miami MMB posters are talking all kinds of trash about App? It must be a sign of respect.
Are we ready for big boy trash talking? I guess. But, I much prefer fans like we met at Montana who behave, cheer hard for their team, and can carry on a respectful dialogue without calling opposing fans names. Mostly, I am ready for some big boy football.

I would stay as far away as possible from a Miami message board. I have a feeling that most people who post on that barely finished high school. I would imagine that anyone who actually graduated from there would'nt be that childish. The U has more than its fair share of Walmart fans who've never stepped foot on campus.AppAlum1 wrote:I stand corrected. I would have to agree with you. I just graduated from graduate school at Miami and no one really cares about the program in the city. No one goes to the games and most of the people in Miami are fsu or uf fans.proasu89 wrote:I would stay as far away as possible from a Miami message board. It sounds like Miami not only doesn't have Walmart fans, but they don't have any fans at all.

Agreed. That would explain their MMB.proasu89 wrote:I would stay as far away as possible from a Miami message board. I have a feeling that most people who post on that barely finished high school. Re: Sirius/XM today
The fan turnout at their games is really poor. They will bring a lot to the game in Boone because a lot of Miami folks like to travel to NC and move to NCTheMackAttack wrote:ukappfan wrote:I would have to agree with you.
