Miami Game Tickets
Thoughts from everyone how next week will go? Will the upper levels eat up a large chunk of the tickets, or will there be enough for everyone who donated? I am right in the middle with regards to donation level, so I feel good about my chances, but could easily see those able to get a lot, buying all with hopes of making a profit on the resale. Your thoughts?

Re: Miami Game Tickets
I have a chance to grab a lot of tickets, but people have not asked for them like I would have expected. Would have thought otherwise.

Re: Miami Game Tickets
Same here, Big C. I'm able to purchase on Monday and will only purchase for known requests. I'm sure some folks will want to profit from the ability to have extra tickets. It would be naive to think otherwise.
Folks who use the extra tickets I purchase will be asked to make a donation to Yosef either in addition to or instead of the ticket price depending on their particular situations.

Re: Miami Game Tickets
Why don't those on the board who can get extra tickets get them for others on the board who really need them. We could supply them to those on here at face value. You know kind of help a fellow APP out. I know there are those on here who don't have the means to donate at high levels. We help each other and keep those tickets off the secondary market. Just a thought

Re: Miami Game Tickets
For anyone who was thinking about flipping the tickets for profit through StubHub keep this in mind. That opens up the chance for Miami fans to buy those tickets.

No App fan should let their tickets go to a Miami fan unless they're a personal friend./\PP ST/\TE GRAD 09 wrote:For anyone who was thinking about flipping the tickets for profit through StubHub keep this in mind. That opens up the chance for Miami fans to buy those tickets.

Re: Miami Game Tickets
My day is Thursday. I can't really pledge anymore to increase my day, but that day is also given for non Yosef season ticket holders. Which means more people vying for tickets. I need at least 6, but I think I can only get 2. Is that correct?

Re: Miami Game Tickets
I got requests from non-YC buddies for all four of our extra ticket allotment. All App fans of course, and all will be passed on at the price we paid for no profit. Ordering Wednesday as well.

Re: Miami Game Tickets
Unfortunately I could not get season tickets this year but would very much like to take my wife and 2 sons to the Miami game. Any suggestions?

What's all this about "my day?" Did I miss some communication? This is the first I've heard of this. I have 3 season seats and won't be buying any single-game tickets but I hate to think that I'm not receiving important communications.

Re: Miami Game Tickets
Going to be tough to swallow if, after the hard sell on how everyone should buy season tickets and join YC to support the program, donors at the $100 and $250 levels miss out on Miami because others buy up tickets for their buddies who did neither (or, worse yet, for resale).

I'm at the $500 level and I had no idea this was even happening the way it was. I thought it was just anytime this week. If I didn't have a buddy in the media, who sends me official PR I wouldn't have known it either.AppinATL wrote:What's all this about "my day?" Did I miss some communication? I also didn't have any idea Tennessee tickets were on sale - where was that email?
ZERO emails coming to me about this stuff and it is irritating me.

Re: Miami Game Tickets
Ongoing problem from the marketing and PR departments in the athletic office. Things have improved, but they have a long ways to go.

- Add *.xosnetwork.com and *.neulionnetwork.com to your safe senders list in whatever email program you use. The * before the dot tells your program to accept any emails from those domains.
- Be sure your Yosef account has your correct email in its setup.
- Be sure you've set your Yosef account to receive notifications.
- Be sure your Gold Book and Yosef accounts both reflect the same email address and physical address.
The athletic department has switched to doing more with "picture" email. If you don't see the pictures, it's likely that you don't have the "safe senders" recorded. The whole idea behind more "picture" oriented email is that most people will not take the time to read through an email newsletter that has a bunch of text. It also allows for more clickable links in a smaller space. The athletic department really is working at the communication issue. If you're still having trouble after all the steps above, call Alan Daniel at Yosef or email him at danielap@appstate.edu.
If you're a Yosef member, you can still order TN tickets by calling the ticket office.
Ticket packing this year will take place the week of August 8th with packets going out by UPS the week of the 15th. Now is the time to check your address in your Yosef setup to be certain that your ticket packet is being shipped where you want it to go. Be sure your Gold Book and Yosef accounts reflect the same address. They're using UPS again this year, so it's helpful to have a street address as UPS does not deliver to PO boxes. If you use a PO box only, your ticket packet will not come via UPS.
