Btw, several years ago ALE stormed through the lots ....so much that the prosecutors office said they would not do anything about the tickets....since then ALE has lightened up. So, if you do get a ticket, call someone first before paying.

When I was told in July of '95 that I was a diabetic, I was given the long face from my PCP. He asked me several questions about my eating habits. He asked if I drank beer, I said yes. He replied, No you don't. I replied yea Doc I love beer. No you don't and I asked why? He said that beer contained alcohol. I know that, he said the alcohol in beer, whiskey, rum, and gin converts into sugar in your blood stream. He said that that it wouldn't be beneficial too controlling my A1C levels and would be harmful to my overall health. I quit that day. Yea I will admit that I still miss beer, but I learned that I could have just as much fun without it. Now I don't frown on ones choices, but I have consumed 5 beers since, but only on special occasions.

Same here,83. Alcohol also affects the pancreas which greatly inluences diabetes. IMOp, a diabetic is a fool to drink alcohol. The last alcohol I had was two shots of tequila a few years ago at one of the MMB's tailgate. So, I admit I was a fool that day.
