We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

Ian Rapoport reports :
The LA #Rams signed WR Brian Quick to a 1-year worth up to $3.75M, source said. He gets $1.5M fully guaranteed.
Pretty sweet 1 yr deal for Brian. Hope that he sticks. I love the toughness of App receivers like McElfresh, Washington, Peacock, Cline and others but man oh man, loved seeing Quick go up top for those long throws during his tenure at App.

Quick App memories...
#1: Dropped touchdown pass in the '09 semi-final game as time expired vs. Montana.
Brian had a great career, but his 'hands of stone' were on full display that day. It cost Armanti his final game, and one last trip to the championship game.

How about all the passes he caught that got Armanti to that final? Come on man!

Quick developed pretty good hands while at App, minus the occasional "body catch" and was and still is often praised as the hardest worked on the team. The Montana play was extremely difficult for many reasons (a short outside slant, thrown hard in the snow....really). The Montana game was lost because of poor play-calling in the red-zone on that last drive, IMO.

Hey boon goon...were you at the game? I was...u either don't know jack about football or you weren't watching the game.do you recall how app got down field during that final drive and by the way, quick was injured as well. I love hearing people talk about quick and that final drop at montana. Off topic with montana but....Here's another tidbit of info on quick...lynch blocked the game winning field goal against michigan...right? Quick tipped the kick earlier in the game with those hands of stone...so give him some credit for that one as well.

Best of luck to Quick. If he can stay healthy, he can be good NFL WR

Great news for Quick. Hopefully he is fully recovered from his injury and can show the promise that he was beginning to show prior to the injury. As for his App career, he had ten times more good plays than bad and who can forget the ESPN Halloween game and many of the catches where he just went over the top of everyone. One of the great App receivers IMO, at least in the 50 years I've been watching App football.

I still remember an App/Furman game that DJ was calling and DJ enthusiastically stated, "That ball is way overthrown but whooooaaaa Quick comes down with it." One of the best go up and get it balls that I have ever witnessed.

Don't misunderstand my comment, I am excited for BQuick and wish him nothing but success. But the image burned into my memory of him as a Mountaineer is the dropped pass in the Montana game. Yes, I remember him blocking the kick in the Big House as a freshman, yes I remember the other jump balls he caught, but in the snow of Missula he dropped not one but TWO passes on that final drive. If Elon hadn't taken out Armanti's knee a couple of weeks earlier maybe it wouldn't have mattered.
It is what it is...

BHG, Quick had one catch and 4 throws to on the final drive. Should have caught one, could have caught one and one was overthrown. The others were to Cline, Frazier and Moore. Tough conditions, but it's still looked like a catchable ball...think about it this way, if you could have had any receiver on that years roster in place of Quick would you? My answer is absolutely! Cline or Elder before Quick. Just my two cents.
See you at the Rock in a couple of months.
Go APP!

Actually quick had two catches...the final being the pass on 4and 10 which moved the chains. I was on the front row tight where he caught that pass...conditions were bad...4 degrees...and snow of course...ask anyone who went...coldest game I've ever been to...and won't blame him for that pass. We agree to disagree

I remember the drops but also all the great catches. So no doubt a great player but I can't forget his behavior on the field in his last game at KBS. Also the crap about I can't help where I came from and I did not get coached at App doesn't sit well either. So good luck to him but I really doubt he would credit App State for the opportunity to be successful at the next level.

I'm glad things I said in college weren't put in newspapers to haunt me to this day.

What if your position coach was a moron like Chris Moore? Have you ever heard Cadet whine about App not preparing him for the next level? Some things are just off limits in my opinion. We (Yosef Club) paid for at least some of his education and opportunity to showcase his skills. App gave a basketball player a chance to play football and for him to turn around and belittle the program is just shitty. Sorry no flag waiving for Quick but I do hope he has a tremendous career becasue it is good for App. I picked him on my fantasy team the last two years because I think he has a chance to be great so not taking anything away from his skills or how he performed as a Mountaineer.

Totally agree about the comment of not receiving coaching at App. That was a slap in the face to Jerry Moore and the rest of the staff. I wish him all the luck, however. and hope he invests his salary wisely.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Coach Chris more coach the running backs?
