Softball Drops Two this afternoon; now 0-7
ASU softball continues to break in freshmen the tough way--in competition with super talented and experienced teams. The Apps dropped a 5-0 game to soon-to-be-conference mate Coastal Carolina late this afternoon. They also lost to Cleveland State 11-2 earlier in the day. Now at 0-7 on the young season, our ladies play Towson (9:30 AM) and Seton Hall (11:45 AM) tomorrow.

						Proud triple-degree App grad--Classes of '66, '70 and '81.
If it happens to the Apps, it happens to me!

Can we skip Spring sports and just get to the Fall season?

They've started between three and six true freshmen every game and all the pinch-runners and hitters are true freshmen.
Softball was the biggest jump in competition from the SoCon to Sun Belt. The SBC was the 6th-best conference last season by RPI and that was with App and GaSo weighing down the rest. Only one percentage point behind the Big Ten, which had National runner-up Michigan.
This is a multi-year building project and that was known when Savage was hired.
