The Clemson game the Pick6 got in his head and he was shot for the rest of the game. The Ohio game he got back on the horse after the Pick6 and lost no focus. That is progress and maturity. That ability to focus on the next play and not the previous play is what makes a good QB cthexTennxand Miamixgames will show if he is able to maintain his progress.

In the Clemson game, after the Pick Six he was shot for the rest of the second quarter. I believe the reason Satt left him in the rest of the game was build his confidence back up and he did well.

He was probably a bit lucky the Ohio Pick Six was right before halftime, but he did have some shaky moments early in the third.

I think the biggest difference between Clemson and Ohio was that - and I hope I'm not getting too technical here - Clemson was a whole lot better than Ohio.

Our OL simply couldn't block Clemson, and our receivers couldn't get open. Lamb made some big mistakes for sure, but they were mostly forced, either directly or indirectly.

Against Ohio he made a couple boneheaded throws late in the first, and we couldn't get the vertical game going, but otherwise they didn't really stop us much.

Semidirectly?

Just meant that, from what I recall, some mistakes were forced by pressure (i.e., directly), while others I would consider forced indirectly because, while he wasn't under immediate pressure on a particular play, the consistent QB pressure and tight secondary coverage led him to take ill-advised chances (e.g., the interception in the end zone).

It was an incredible year for App Nation. We have a lot of talented players returning on both sides of the line and it is reasonable to be optimistic. The play of the line will be critical and no one can predict how injuries will complicate matters. What ever happens I will be there. Go Black & Gold.
