Official: Griffey and Piazza to be inducted into the Baseball hall of Fame.
Bagwell, Raines and Hoffman - close, but not quite enough this year. So only two added by the venerable BBWAA...
Congrats to Giffey and Piazza!

So glad to see Griffey get in and set a record doing so. "The Kid" was my favorite player as a kid. The swing man, that swing!
Also, what three insufferable morons kept him off their ballot?!?

Griffey and Ted Williams- probably two of the best pure swings of all time and both were robbed of several seasons due to military service and injury. Have always been a Reds fan. If only Jr. could have stayed healthy.

Jr. stays healthy his whole career and he is the GOAT, I firmly believe that. He didn't though so that title evades him. His last injury riddled seasons killed his career BA, HR total, and other stats and he still had incredible numbers as well as the smoothest swing in the sport.
