Re: ASU Triad Alumni Association Sucks
appchicago brings up a great point. Please do not try to plan a separate chapter without going through the Alumni Association. As I mentioned in my post, the chapters operate a particular way. Any new chapter will need to be sanctioned. It's probably a bad idea to push the schools name out there unofficially. I would start by contacting the Alumni Association, they will welcome all volunteers willing to participate!

Re: ASU Triad Alumni Association Sucks
You are correct. No need to start a new chapter when there is one in place already. The last meeting I went to (the one several years ago), there were close if not 100 people there. I haven't been, but still like the once a month early meeting for job networking. That is always a plus to help each other out. We just need to help out the ones already on the board to expand the triad chapter and do socials. Like I said earlier, I'm willing to help out anyway I can. IT'S GREAT TO BE A MOUNTAINEER!!!!!ASUMountaineer wrote:appchicago brings up a great point. Please do not try to plan a separate chapter without going through the Alumni Association. I dont think anyone mentioned starting our own, just enhancing what we have. I for one have emails the head of the Piedmont chapter several times over the past year or so and have heard nothing back. I understand them being busy, as I could not lead it. But if so, let someone else run it.

They might would welcome it, but if no one else has inquired or offered they may not have a choice. That's why several of us here posted that those interested in helping should contact the Alumni Association.boonetown1 wrote:I dont think anyone mentioned starting our own, just enhancing what we have. Sounds reasonable, consider it done then. I'll contact the person in charge of the Triad Alumni Association via e-mail & see what we can accomplish. Thanks everyone for your advice! It's great to know I'm not the only one concerned. Go Apps!ASUMountaineer wrote:They might would welcome it, but if no one else has inquired or offered they may not have a choice. That's awesome! Good luck! If you don't receive a response in a few days, I'd reach out to Patrick or Summer in Boone. Go Apps!MountaineerChemist10 wrote:Sounds reasonable, consider it done then.
