Returning for 2023

I’m not closing the door on this season yet but do we have any idea who, if any, of our current 5YR R-Jr. players might return next season? There are a lot of them.

Peoples and Hampton are definitely gone. They accepted the senior bowl invites.ASUFan4863 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 16, 2022 12:07 pmThat is a good question and one I would like to know as well. It seems we are honoring players like Peoples, Hardy, Hodges, Hampton, etc.. who are "technically" juniors based on SC comments. Obviously Hampton is going to the draft but this makes me believe we will be losing a lot of important players.
daggone. At least 3 new starting OL, QB, TE; at least 4 new starters on defense... Gonna need quite a few people to step up or back to square one
After this season, do they have a legitimate NFL shot? I would say the cards are stacked against them.AppStateNews wrote: ↑Wed Nov 16, 2022 1:03 pmPeoples and Hampton are definitely gone. Clark is trying to talk Hodges and Hardy into staying but they're both leaning towards going NFL.
Never know. An extra year in college probably wouldn't move the needle that much more, and runs the risk of a career ending injury.ASUFan4863 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 16, 2022 2:34 pmAfter this season, do they have a legitimate NFL shot? I may be in the minority, but I don't think it would be the worst thing possible to thin out the RB room to have a consistent young 1-2 punch.GSUwasGump’sFallbackSchool wrote: ↑Wed Nov 16, 2022 3:34 pmHampton needs to maximize his chance of going high in the draft. He has all the measurable and stats they’re looking for. A great pro day could skyrocket his appeal.
Peoples needs to go for it because of his injury history, and the short shelf life of NFL backs. Plus we haven’t really utilized him as much this year as we did last year it seems.
Honestly Noel might look to do the same. He’s got potential as a Darren Sproles type of scat back at the next level.
Given that 3 of your top 4 missed time with injury, that doesn’t seem like a good idea.ASUFan4863 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 16, 2022 3:38 pmI may be in the minority, but I don't think it would be the worst thing possible to thin out the RB room to have a consistent young 1-2 punch.GSUwasGump’sFallbackSchool wrote: ↑Wed Nov 16, 2022 3:34 pmHampton needs to maximize his chance of going high in the draft. I know we have had the debate before on who's the better RB but to my eyes NN is a three down RB. Not only does he have great vision and patience but he is an asset in the pass game if needed (blocking or catching) I DON'T want to see him leave just yet selfishly. With Marshall and Roberts and yes....................Castle ( I joke - love the kids work ethic) it's a good mix of speed and powerASUFan4863 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 16, 2022 3:38 pmI may be in the minority, but I don't think it would be the worst thing possible to thin out the RB room to have a consistent young 1-2 punch.GSUwasGump’sFallbackSchool wrote: ↑Wed Nov 16, 2022 3:34 pmHampton needs to maximize his chance of going high in the draft. I also wouldn’t necessarily count out CB recruit DJ Porter out as a potential flip to offense.GSUwasGump’sFallbackSchool wrote: ↑Wed Nov 16, 2022 3:34 pmHampton needs to maximize his chance of going high in the draft. I'd feel good rolling into the season with Nate, Marshall, Castle and Kanye.ASUFan4863 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 16, 2022 3:38 pmI may be in the minority, but I don't think it would be the worst thing possible to thin out the RB room to have a consistent young 1-2 punch.GSUwasGump’sFallbackSchool wrote: ↑Wed Nov 16, 2022 3:34 pmHampton needs to maximize his chance of going high in the draft. I thought Hardy just wanted to go in work force? If he is trying to go NFL then he could definitely use another year.AppStateNews wrote: ↑Wed Nov 16, 2022 1:03 pmPeoples and Hampton are definitely gone.
