You assume that his job is in jeopardy.Black Saturday wrote: ↑Fri Dec 16, 2022 12:58 pmThe hell of that there are many posts this last month saying that if '23 is like '22 and that's the end of the road for SC. I'll take y'alls word on Burgers talent and potential, I'd think SC is going to try to save his job.kornegaylw wrote: ↑Fri Dec 16, 2022 10:33 amQBs have to develop somewhere and if we are being realistic the 2023 App team will likely will be a lot like the 2022 team. We will need to be patient with Burger and let the young man get used to the game. We've been incredibly lucky with QBs for the past 8 years and it's not unrealistic for Burger or any young QB to not come out the gate knowing it all.
We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

Re: Possible transfer situations
Rationally I would say no his job is not in jeopardy.
But really it comes down to how games are won and more importantly, LOST...if they are total collapses like the JMU game or embarrassments like TxSt with more poor situational awareness then I think we all can agree what needs to happen. If games are lost due to young/green players not being fully developed and there is observed improvement yet still some loses then Clark keeps his job.

I'll answer your question with another question...now that the season is over and you've had time to reflect do you still feel the same way as you did 2 weeks ago?Black Saturday wrote: ↑Fri Dec 16, 2022 12:58 pmThe hell of that there are many posts this last month saying that if '23 is like '22 and that's the end of the road for SC. Sorry man, young and green is a BS excuse. Recruiting and player development is part of the job. Hope we don’t have to answer the question about Clark being on the hot seat. Let’s just win.kornegaylw wrote: ↑Fri Dec 16, 2022 1:11 pmRationally I would say no his job is not in jeopardy.

Re: Possible transfer situations
We are recruiting well right now. Have some solid wr and offensive depth coming. Need to grab some more beef on the DL and DB's.

Re: Possible transfer situations
Gotta love when a thread hits page 22 and the words "hot seat" are still going. Folks just can't let it die.
Re: Possible transfer situations
Well it’s a hot topic. Folks are hot for a resolution and burning to know some answers. Everyone knows Appalachian is a hot bed for football and a coaching hot spot. So naturally the heat gets turned up when it seems the hot iron is cooling off. I’ve been to lots of games in KBS wishing I had a “hot seat”.

Re: Possible transfer situations
Interesting statement. Is it resolution, or is it assurances that it won’t happen again that people are hot for? What answers are people looking for? What went wrong? How is going to get fixed?1ASU78 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 18, 2022 12:00 amWell it’s a hot topic. Folks are hot for a resolution and burning to know some answers. Re: Possible transfer situations
What questions are we allowed to ask? Since none of us understand, are we allowed to ask anything? Or do we just have to take whatever comes because we don’t understand?
If we are allowed to ask; I’d like to know what went wrong, what’s being done to fix it short term and long term how it never happens again. 6-6 can never be acceptable regardless of what reasons or excuses are given.
