The red slaw they serve with WNCQ is top notch.BambooRdApp wrote: ↑Wed Dec 11, 2024 11:59 amIf good BBQ, no sauce required. And, I agree, ENC better than WNC...but will give Lexington a thumbs up...

To be fair, I’m from the eastern side of the state and I grew up on Parker’s and Wilbur’s when visiting relatives.t4pizza wrote: ↑Wed Dec 11, 2024 12:00 pmToo bad we don't still have the "thumbs down" button because that is a terrible take.

That makes sense, you've simply been brainwashed by exposure. On a similar note, I grew up in Hawaii (until I was 11.5) and Spam is really popular there so I grew up eating it and loving it. When I moved to Florida in 7th grade, I quickly realized that Spam did not enjoy the popularity that it does on the islands. I still love the stuff but my wife and adult kids all look at me odd every time I make it. We just can't help liking what we grew up eating, even if it is objectively not as good as we subjectively think it is.AppSt94 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 11, 2024 12:01 pmTo be fair, I’m from the eastern side of the state and I grew up on Parker’s and Wilbur’s when visiting relatives.

Clark didn't get a Spring practice his first year as head coach due to a Bill Gates Pandemic.
Coach DL will have a spring season. Good for him.

Fuzzy’s was so good when I was a kid. Dad worked in Madison so we ate there a lot. Ate there about 10 years ago and it wasn’t the same.Saint3333 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 11, 2024 12:20 pmhttps://barbecuebros.co/nc-historic-barbecue-trail/

For the sauce, it’s only good if vinegar based. None of that tomato crap.

Re: Dowell Loggains
Let me rephrase. BBQ is like music. Different people prefer different styles. However, all styles are good when they are made well. If you claim one style is superior and one is inferior, it's just because you don't have an open enough mind to appreciate different styles.BambooRdApp wrote: ↑Wed Dec 11, 2024 12:36 pmTelling us you have never had great BBQ... without telling us you have never had great BBQMrCraig wrote: ↑Wed Dec 11, 2024 12:19 pmAll BBQ is good BBQ. I can only hope that Coach Loggains was throughly questioned about his BBQ preference and that he answered correctly. Dude looks like he knows something about BBQ.

Threads here remind me of the old 5 degrees of separation Kevin Bacon game. Takes about 4 replies completely irrelevant from a given topic to bring up bbq.
