Does Anyone still believe DLO is playing 4D chess with the program at this point? He’s fumbling his way through and we are all hoping he somehow figures it outCro-Magnon App wrote: ↑Wed Nov 19, 2025 7:43 pmOn Loggains and the program: Sometimes you have to go down to go up. I was really bothered by the way he acted during and after the JMU game. I genuinely believe he took over a program in a steep decline. But no, he’s not playing 4D chess. I also genuinely hope he figures it out.Seattleapp wrote: ↑Wed Nov 19, 2025 7:51 pmDoes Anyone still believe DLO is playing 4D chess with the program at this point? Re: FB at No. 24 JMU, 3:30 p.m., ESPN+
He's been handed checkers and told to play chess.
If you want to argue he was handed chess pieces, that's fine we lost a bishop (Roberts) before the season, both Knights (two defensive starters) were kicked off the team, two rooks (OTs) were injured, then the other bishop (Cummings) gets injured. Still have our Queen in Dub and King? in Swann...
My goodness I just depressed myself.

I'm not aware of any business in Boone or otherwise that is utilizing any players N, I, or L. Let us know if you know of one.

Not sure why you would ask me. I don't know and don't talk on things I don't know about. I asked for a source, as in a credible source that has verifiable information.
That's what they taught me to do at App Sate. Granted, it is a lost art/discipline, but it is my standard.

A void of evidence to support an assertion would indicate the opposite to be probable.

I give my experience at App credit for helping me with one thing, critical thinking skills. I got that in the physics department. I have missed watching maybe 5 App. football games in the last 20 years and I would struggle to name more than 5 players on our current team. So I deduced from that fact that it would be highly unlikely that any of our guys are actually getting paid to advertise or promote a product in any way. Nobody knows who they are. Thats not a slight at any of our players it’s just the truth.CVAPP wrote: ↑Wed Nov 19, 2025 8:44 pmNot sure why you would ask me. I don't know and don't talk on things I don't know about. There is no credible source with verifiable information like that on this board. We pay players. We wouldn’t have the Football Support Fund if we didn’t. Hardly any actually offer services for their Name, Image, or Likeness, which is the point they were trying to make I believe. The only source I can provide is to look around the community. How many products, advertisements, etc.. can you find linked to a player’s NIL? Hardly any.CVAPP wrote: ↑Wed Nov 19, 2025 8:44 pmNot sure why you would ask me. And that is true at every level of college football.ASUFan4863 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 19, 2025 9:02 pmThere is no credible source with verifiable information like that on this board. We pay players. Two different things. And we are “revenue sharing “ which is pay to play. Not aware of any NIL. People do co mingle the terms though.

How much revenue do we actually have left after operating expenses or is this a line item expense for the athletic department that creates net losses? I thought typically before this new expense that we generally (maybe) broke even.
You know it’s gotten bad with advertisers using athletes that in most cases their names have to be worked in. Never in my life have I purchased anything because an athlete pitched it.

I think the OP is insinuating that players are being paid, but not for their name, image or likeness. Just pay for play.CVAPP wrote: ↑Wed Nov 19, 2025 8:44 pmNot sure why you would ask me. Cardinal had a special burger for Collins and when I was at that new breakfast place under the Standard (can't remember the name) they had a biscuit special for one of our DBs (also can't remember which one) both places claimed to give a portion to the athlete. I saw both of them when I was in town for the Coastal game, doubt it is much money but it is true NIL.

I’d be happy if he’d just keep playing checkers at this pointSaint3333 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 19, 2025 8:18 pmHe's been handed checkers and told to play chess.

Maybe learn how to play checkers first, and then take a stab at chess? Just a thought.Seattleapp wrote: ↑Thu Nov 20, 2025 12:30 pmI’d be happy if he’d just keep playing checkers at this pointSaint3333 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 19, 2025 8:18 pmHe's been handed checkers and told to play chess.

I’ll take your word for it and say I was wrong. And I am both completely ok with being wrong about this and happy for those guys that got an actual NIL deal.t4pizza wrote: ↑Thu Nov 20, 2025 11:17 amCardinal had a special burger for Collins and when I was at that new breakfast place under the Standard (can't remember the name) they had a biscuit special for one of our DBs (also can't remember which one) both places claimed to give a portion to the athlete.
