I can tell you my parents would've made sure that I had my mind completely made up before giving my word to the school.
I hear what you're saying and I agree with it in principal, but I wasn't pouting when we flipped Davis from The Citadel and if Tarrick Thomas were to send in his LOI here I'd probably be willing to buy the whole bar a round.
Thomas decided to keep his commit to FAU which is why we picked up Alexander (from Dr Phillips HS). We've been on him for a while and reports are we were up front with him all along.
And we have another commit....

I played against him a few times back in my playing days at West Forsyth. He's good.

I hope this doesn't mean they are worried about losing David.

With the kind of offense we run, we need three capable QBs. With both Bryant and Hallock gone, this allows us to redshirt one of the newcomers (possibly both) and still have good depth at QB. Think Ohio State.

This confuses me. Why another QB?
the only thing i can think of is either he or David will redshirt and that will still give us 3 QBs. i believe ODU was recruiting him as a WR, so he could possibly switch at App too

Most all the sites have him as an ATH. We need another QB on the roster with Hallock and Kam gone since it really only leaves us with two if we shirt David. Figured Josh Thomas fit that roll fine but they may have different plans for him. We'll see come camp time.

ATH!!! this means WR,CB if QB doesn't workout. 6'2" is not bad size for these positions

Looks like I just need to stick with all the phone calls, texts, and DM's. I'm always too busy to type and it's too late when it comes out.

You can never have too many QB's.

I like the Easter commit. Four possible QBs on the roster isn't really that many. If he doesn't stick at QB, he's athletic enough to play other positions (including safety, where we now have a bit of a need). And we took one from a future opponent. Sounds good to me.

Right but my initial thought was this could be a backup plan in case David leaves. But I REALLY hope David stays. I'm not a football coach or analyst but his film looks really awesome.
I have faith that David stays. My gut tells me he'll be special.

Thanks for the info on the young men that have chosen APP! I am looking forward to seeing them on the field.
For that other one....

I don't think he's going anywhere. I think it's a little reckless to go into the season with the scholarship QBs on your roster and that appears to have been the route we were going. I could see Easter spending one year at QB then becoming a receiver and return man after David loses the shirt.

Unless David or Easter are in line to start at some point, I'd expect them both to redshirt. You don't need to pull the shirt off a guy for him to be your emergency/#3 guy. See Caruso last year.

I never understood the whole a kid was "offered or accepted a PWO". They are just kids who made it academically into the school and will walk onto the football team.
There is no binding agreement to be had there, I work in contracts often so maybe I am just nit picking.
Oh and to address the recent flip of Mr. Owed Fortune, dude you will learn one day what a commitment means, hopefully it is before you burn yourself too bad.

Not exactly. There is a difference in a PWO and a simple walk-on, which is why I list PWO's on the board. Maybe the links below will help.
