Anybody notice any different of a line up on punt return? Heard satt or DJ say in pregame about switching pesronnell on ST, was not sure if that occurred and/or helped.

"The Bottom Line" on ESPN 730 talked about Bobo and why this week.

Some said he had the best hands on the team and that he was fearless, being willing to catch a punt knowing he's about to be drilled.

Crazy they talked about him on the air the week before his big coming out.

I did take notice of coverage improvements yesterday and it looked like quite a few 1st stringers were out there.

That was DJ's pregame conversation and the ?? do you mortgage 1,2,and 3rd down for 4th down punt and possible injury and definate additional exertion. Think it is a question of depth.

Good question but I'm glad the staff decided to play all of our cards yesterday. No reason not to load up on Special Teams this late in the season given what that win on the road would mean to us.

Next to last game of the season. Can't hold anything back.

Special Teams Players of the Week

Bobo Beathard (Appalachian State, Jr., WR/RS)
Bobo Beathard had a 33-yard punt return for a touchdown in Appalachian State's 35-16 win at UL Lafayette … the 33-yard return gave Appalachian State a commanding 14-3 lead late in the first quarter … the punt-return touchdown was Appalachian State's first in more than eight years … Dexter Jackson was the last Mountaineer to return a punt for a touchdown, doing so twice at Gardner-Webb on Sept. 23, 2006 … Beathard also had two catches for 24 yards, including a 10-yarder that set up first and goal at the three yard line on a crucial fourth-quarter touchdown drive that extended Appalachian State's lead to 28-16.
