Re: The Carolina Way (Cont'd)
Weber St. just got three years of NCAA probation, scholarship reductions and fines for self-reporting that a math instructor had done the work for five football players. The UNC-CHeat scandal is exponentially bigger and I'm willing to bet their sanctions, if any, are less than what Weber St. just got.

Yeah, based on the history, It's hard for me to think that any true punishment will come down. However, the silence of this board's resident tar heels since the Wainstein report was released is deafening and is true evidence that this is bad.appst89 wrote:Weber St. just got three years of NCAA probation, scholarship reductions and fines for self-reporting that a math instructor had done the work for five football players. I predict even less harsh. They won't even get a slap on the wrist. They will get a love tap on the wrist and will be told "you boys just don't do it again or we might give you a little slap on the wrist." After all everybody does it. (Not!)

I fear that UNC isn't too worried about paying their lawyer's fees, they will instruct their puppets on the BOT board to quietly make budget cuts to the other schools in the NC systems and funnel the money to Chapel Hill

ESPN is a business. Their agenda is making money by attracting eyeballs. This is why they're all over the SEC all football season, and this is why they love stories involving race or gay issues- they know it gets clicks. Stop watching their broadcasts you don't like and let the free market work.
For the record, there's no SEC bias- they drop them after football. Second, they've done Gameday from two FCS games this year.

None of these guys on Gameday played at an FCS school so they don't understand the reason these games are played and are important for FCS schools and players.TheMoody1 wrote:Their trashing of all the FCS vs SEC match ups today on GameDay this morning was nothing short of disgusting.

Re: The Carolina Way (Cont'd)
Corso explained how the FCS need the money and Jerkstreet said the big schools should just give them money and not play them. I wonder if Desmond remembers a certain game back in 2007.

This is like Bernie Eckelstone bribing the German government so they would drop the bribery charges against him.

As usual the comments are the best part. There are thousands, THOUSANDS, of head-in-the-sand tar holes who are do deep in denial they're making complete fools of themselves.
I wish the NCAA could sanction those idiots too.

Here's a new one.
After their win against Duke on Thursday night, the Hole players vandalized the visiting locker room with spray paint
I guess you can't expect class from a group that doesn't, you know, go to class....
