Re: App vs LMC
Came up a day early for the game Saturday so I decided to take in the game tonight. First, we clearly have a lot to work on. Defensively mainly. Definitely have to cover the three better (although LMC was on fire) and our on ball defense could use some work. Offensively we have to cut down on turnovers, and finishing at the rim. But despite the score, I saw a lot to like out there. Ball movement was a huge improvement from last year. Kobani, and Eaves looked really good, and Spag played really well defensively. I came away most impressed with Landon Gosling (sp?) Always made the right play, just wish he'd look for his shot a bit more.
Bottom line, we may not see it this year, but this team has a whooooole lotta potential in the next couple years.

I was at the game tonight and I thought it was a much better product to watch than the past few years. Coach Fox is miles better than Capel. He admitted afterwards that they have a long way to go.
He was at the Tapp Room afterwards having a beer and talking with fans. It may not be pretty this year guys but he is the right man for the job. He has an incredible basketball IQ and coached these kids up at every opportunity.

Was there tonight. Definitely gonna be a long season, but I expect consistent improvement. Glad we won tonight just for team confidence purposes. I barely even know these guys but #34 (Purdue transfer I think?) is super athletic. Also think Goesling will be a player. Smart, pass-first player. Reminded me of a player you would watch with Davidson under McKillop.

Re: App vs LMC
As both a LMC (when it was a 2 year school) and ASU grad last night was "bitter sweet". I realize App is not going to be very good this year, however, does last night's result indicated that LMC is in for a decent season?
