Let's say we win the tournament   :!:

Or make the final

Does Capel save his job?

Final: NO

Win: Maybe a one/two year extension, but it would be a break point where both sides could save face.
That's what I do. I gripe and I know things.

To this point. I think if Capel has any REMOTE chance of saving his job it would have to be because he won the SoCon Tourney and MAYBE the NCAA play in game if that's where he's put. He won't go further than that. I'd argue that even then, it may be futile. I'm going to pay attention to how he coaches this weekend. He needs to be all in. And when I say all in, I mean ALL IN! He does get emotional on the sideline, but that alone won't cut it. He's going to have to be willing to play lineups he isn't comfortable with, sit players that play heavy minutes if they are having off nights, change his schemes, etc. The man to man defense has been off all year. Perhaps Capel presses full court for 30-40 minutes? Idk, but he's going to have to show me he really wants it as well as actually win games.

Absolutely. I'd say even a trip to the Final Four would do it.

Oh wait, you meant the SoCon Tournament? Oh no no, heavens no.

It is nice to remember that we have had some good times in the SoCon tourney.

The AD's office sent out this picture from 79. Which ones of you were in this picture?

I hope we see something, but I'd be less surprised if he too has packed it in and accepted the inevitable.
