Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. APP MBB vs. UNCG

Good half for the Apps in Greensboro. They lead 34-21 over the Spartans, Spagnolo with 10 boards and Neal with 5 assists and Eaves has 8 points. App is out-rebounding UNCG by 12 at the half.

7 or 8 3's in the second half by UNCG

Ouch

Capel: Quotes
Shot less than 30 % in second half.

They made shots! We missed layup after layup.

Could not put ball in basket.

Tommy was fantastic

You have to finish plays

Toney and Obacha missed numerous layups

We fought and did some good things.

Potts had a big game but most were contested 3's

Bottom line if we make layups we win.

Was at the game....what a disappointment...

Team was rolling before Potts started hitting some absolute horseshit backbreaking 3's.

It's a shame Spagnolo is a senior. He looked like Kevin McHale out there.

I was at the game too. Really ugly, but not surprising given our record. In the first half neither team played offense. Second half we still decided to not play offense.

I was there as well. Thoroughly enjoyed watching the missed layups, lack of perimeter defense and not being able to stop their point guard. Oh well. Go Apps!

Just don't understand why you can't stop the freaking 3pt shot?????!!!!!!?????!!!!!

It appears it UNC thing...Roy has never stopped other teams from hitting 3s against them and it appears one of his students, our coach, can't either!!!!!!

18 freaking points and we get beat..... I was getting ready to run out on the court myself...

Kellen Sampson resume:

1 year as grad assistant at Indiana.

2 years at Oklahoma coaching with his brother - 1 as grad assistant and 1 as strength and conditioning assistant. He also served as the program’s film-exchange coordinator and assisted in scheduling official visits for recruits.

1 season a SFA as the 3rd assistant.

2nd season at ASU as the 3rd assiatant.

Granted he's probably better than what we've got but App State Basketball deserves a coach with real experience.

Capel was a Doherty boy. Roy did get there til 2003.
When a team is on fire from the 3 its hard for anyone to stop them. You step out and stretch out your defense and your just asking for the drive and kicks or drives that get your posts in foul trouble.
