While it's true that ASU holds a 51-25 edge in the series that dates back to 1968, the Knobs have won three of the last four games and six of the last nine against the Mountaineers. Given RJr Jay Canty's loss due to surgery performed on his shooting hand yesterday (Tuesday); El Cid gets the nod as the favorite to bring its eight game loosing streak to a close in tomorrow night's game. They just seem to have our number. Get ready for El Cid's Army discipline, patience and "never say die" attitude to take it's toll. Not to mention the Corps of Cadets standing throughout the game chanting "never say die; never say die." I already have a headache and tipoff isn't till tomorrow night.
One sad fact remains. Both of these teams are bad. How bad, you ask? ASU (RPI # 337) and El Cid (RPI #345) have been Presbyterian's (dead last RPI #349) only two wins this entire season.
I'll wrap this epistle up with one more bit of embarrassing trivia. RealTimeRPI.com has El Cid ten (10) point favorites in this game. Yeah, 10 points. Beam me up, Scottie. And, p-u-l-e-a-s-e make it quick.
