Re: Crosby to UNT
ST was the one consistent bright spot for App this season. I wish him the best, but this one hurts.

Yea this one stinks.
We clicked on special teams all year. Definitely was our best unit.

Hope this doesn’t influence Dom’s decision on his future in Black & Gold.

Re: Crosby to UNT
Yet, they still averaged around 7k less than us during our second consecutive 5 win season.

If attendance won games, we'd be in a great spot.

Re: Crosby to UNT
In FY ‘24 unt had $53MM in revenue 73% subsidized
App had $52MM in revenue 46% subsidized
Of course unt offers less sports and around 70 less athletes so they have a little more $$ to spend per sport but it’s not like they are far outpacing us.
Crosby spent lots of time in Texas and they did have a better 2025 than us so he might be betting on them.
I’m also hoping although I don’t have evidence of this that we are looking to hire an OC which I think would pay more dividends than a ST coordinator

Re: Crosby to UNT
I doubt that is the reason, even if we do get an OC. I think this is just about going to what he views as a better situation and he is getting a pay bump.

Cool, again knocking it out of the park was the numbers they've produced the last few years, not comparing them to App. Winning energizes the fan base, hiring a coach that has a buyout from his previous employment brings him in cheap, and they are able to spend more on staffing, probably due to that.BallantyneApp wrote: ↑Wed Dec 24, 2025 9:22 amIn FY ‘24 unt had $53MM in revenue 73% subsidized

I took it as no offense that he left for another g5 school, because he's probably getting more money, and right now, North Texas is in a better position to win, and eventually make a bigger move in a few years if they can sustain what they have.
We can average 40k, which we'll see what happens if NC State cancels this year, but if we are 4-8, 5-7 or 6-6 multiple years, football will get left behind in 2030.
