Overall, we do need to grow the YC, season ticket sales, etc. We could really use significant corporate donors....{Insert Company Name} KBS Stadium....{Insert Name} Field, {Insert Company} NEZ...or whatever the idea..

Re: Yosef Parking - Looks like inflation has hit
To me, we spend way too much time and effort on repeat customers instead of growing repeat customers
Re: Yosef Parking - Looks like inflation has hit
So I’ve been able to use senior pricing for several years. Looks like that’s gone. And my contribution will increase.
So when you have one of the worst booster club membership numbers and have made the model to shmooz larger donors and hit or miss the rest it’s has caught up. YC membership will not increase. Prices will give some folks second thoughts. A few thousand current members will suck it up and continue to carry the load. YC has ( I like beating this dead dead horse) got to figure a way to get more members at whatever levels. Drops n the bucket will eventually fill it.

Re: Yosef Parking - Looks like inflation has hit
I will be there but I sure didn't like seeing that price hike on my seats. I gave up my long time seats to move up and this price hike is going to get me to try to move back. I hope my old seats are still open because I sure did like them and the new seats got a huge mark up.
P.S. We should charge $100/ticket for the Carolina game and leave everything else alone this year. Maybe raise price of parking. I thought we were finally making some headway on the casual fans.
I truly hope our decision makers are making the right call. I will be there unless my children are going hungry. Go App, Fight App...Kick Ar$e!!!!!!!!!!

The decision makers are following models that have proven successful at other places. You don’t get rich following the habits of broke people. A donation of $2k at Georgia Southern gets you a spot right next to the stadium. They are struggling worse than us.spacemonkey wrote: ↑Thu Feb 10, 2022 10:23 pmI will be there but I sure didn't like seeing that price hike on my seats. Which is, unfortunately, what needs to happen.

Knew where APP was for their athletic budget. SHOCKED to see the how much JMU and ODU spend on budgets coming from smaller conferences. The higher ups needed to change the model to create more revenue.

VA has a different way of reporting from my understanding, 89 may have the details on that.Appmountaineers19 wrote: ↑Fri Feb 11, 2022 7:10 amKnew where APP was for their athletic budget. I am not sure about the keeping up mentality, I just know schools with traditionally strong attendance figures in power fives have plenty of empty seats for games. When you begin to price out the possibilities of middle class families to attend football games you have to ask yourself if you want full stadiums with less revenue or half empty ones with people who have more wealth.

Re: Yosef Parking - Looks like inflation has hit
The problem that we have is people buying 6-7-8 tickets with the minimum $500 donation. I get that there are instances of families that buy a large plot of tickets to be together and for those people, I feel for them. But this is long overdue. For years we have asked people to join the YC to support athletics with little traction. Many asking the question, “What’s in it for me?” Well, that question has now been answered.

And the talk of children going hungry and pricing out the middle class is a little extreme. It's $100 per seat per game for the good seats, less for the cheap ones.

Re: Yosef Parking - Looks like inflation has hit
Is the per seat donation a one time thing for new season tickets, or is it a yearly fee for each seat? Also is it going to be separate from our Yosef club donation, or included?

Re: Yosef Parking - Looks like inflation has hit
It's a yearly thing and it is your Yosef club donation.

Re: Yosef Parking - Looks like inflation has hit
It is not a one time seat license. So you will need to look at the seating chart and see what your seat in that section is. Example, if you sit in section 111, the seat donation is $400 per. So if you normally by 2 seats per season, your yearly YC donation has to be $800 minimum. That allows you to purchase the season tickets in that section. So you would need to join YC and donate yearly, enough to purchase the number of tickets needed.

Re: Yosef Parking - Looks like inflation has hit
Thanks. So just to make sure I have this correct...I have 3 seats...1 in NEZ, 2 in Sec 213....all are in the $500 minimum donation range...so each year I'll have to give at least $1500 to Yosef ($500 x 3) to purchase the seats?AppSt94 wrote: ↑Fri Feb 11, 2022 9:23 amIt is not a one time seat license. Yearly per seat starting in 2023 - from what I'm reading the per seat donation is the donation. ( parking may be separate?)

Re: Yosef Parking - Looks like inflation has hit
Think I I found the info:
Each parking lot requires a minimum annual contribution to the Yosef Club in order to qualify. Required donations (2022) and per-seat contributions (2023) to the Yosef Club count toward the minimum parking requirements.
