I agree but the 4th down conversion by Hennigan could have gone either way and a lot of times late in the game the refs simply won’t throw the flag on the pi on Sutton....character building win that should give our D some confidence

No call on Charles was right. That was great technique by Charles to use your right hand on the shoulder pad and release when you know ball is coming. He even got his head turned briefly. That's every Sunday in the NFL kind of technique. Corey had the UL dB beat, as he usually does, and DB got ate up. Drink went to the best when it mattered and Sutton delivered

The 4th down catch by Hennigan was close, but I think it was a good spot, either the initial catch, or the second effort. I know the UL fans are going to blame the refs on this loss, but they just couldn’t get out of their own way on offense, and they ran into a buzzsaw tonight

That's funny because if it weren't for a few really big penalties, Louisiana never stood a chance. App State had the best athletes, the best performance and the bets coaching on that field tonight.

You mean holding one of the nations most prolific offenses to 7 pts isn’t top 25 worthy?

I mean they had 50 yards in the 2nd half. Definitely the 1st time this year our D has looked top 25, but they sure did.

How about SMU’s win over Tulsa? Minnesota’s win over GaSouthern? A win is a win. And defense counts as well. I am much happier with a 17-7 win relative to 54-47. No question our offense can and will score. But the defense made a statement tonight!
