Re: UNCC
I don't even think it's accurate to say that Coach "took his foot off the gas" as much as it is to say he used an FCS opponent to work on issues. Effectively, he used the game as a scrimmage once it was clearly in hand.
When Armanti was a freshman, his tendency was to take off and run VERY quickly. He didn't wait for pass plays to develop and would rely heavily on his legs. He had to learn to stay in the pocket longer also and became a better QB as a result. Zac doesn't take off nearly as quickly as AE did, but I'm sure Coach Drink is just trying to work on "tendencies." No coach is going to prefer the QB standing there and taking a sack when he has the ability to pick up the first down. We have enough offensive weapons to use the designed QB run a little more sparingly than we have in the past.

Healy said, "you’ve got to make sure you don’t give them opportunities late in the game...you’ve got to take the life out of them early.
So there you have it. That is what Healy thinks so I hope Eli and team use that same approach for Charlotte this weekend.
Oh, and also there was another tidbit in that article that many on this board have argued over the years, the importance of 3 National Championships or the win over Michigan.
London looked up and marveled at a newly constructed press box sitting high above the stadium’s home stands.
“I guess this is what you get when you win three straight national titles,” Healy recalled London saying to Moore.
“No,” Moore replied. “This is what you get when you beat Michigan.”

Need to take the foot off the gas and let some subs get experience. Whole lot better than to wait until someone goes down and have to put a player in with no experience.

The Forty-Whiner fans are already arriving in the High Country. I overheard two today. One asked the other where he was having dinner and he replied, “Cookout, but I have the potential to eat at Gamekeeper.”

Agreed. The last time I've been there was 2014 and it was the first time I tried ostrich. After checking the menu, it seems they've changed it to Emu....a flight to NC might be in order.Rekdiver wrote: ↑Thu Sep 05, 2019 6:17 pmOne of my favorite eateries in the world.VNova wrote: ↑Thu Sep 05, 2019 5:22 pmNice to hear Gamekeeper is still around...MAD Doctor wrote: ↑Thu Sep 05, 2019 4:49 pmThe Forty-Whiner fans are already arriving in the High Country. Re: UNCC
The problem is, we actually can't beat them enough to shut those idiots up. If we beat them incredibly bad, they will just pull out the excuses of being a young program and it was supposed to be like that. However, if you go on their board right now, most of them act like they actually have a chance in this game including one moron using the phrase that their "top guys are actually better than ours." Lol their best player wouldn't even start for us. Lemay is a decent back but I would take Evans, Williams, Harrington, and Peoples over him any day of the week. I'm just ready to beat the brakes off them to see what little green will be there leave by halftime. Give em hell!

Whatever happens tomorrow, we will ALL have to live with it for seven years. I hope we beat them as badly as possible and complete the H&H sweep.

Re: UNCC
I visit their board occasionally to see their perspective, mostly out of curiosity. I’ve gotta say, it’s awful. Not that our board is great, but I’ve watched a couple App fans try to have very nice conversations over this week and the two or three cartoon characters that make up their fanbase just continually take shots at them and App. Which is fine, drag our football team through the mud, but they get weirdly personal with their attacks.GastonApp09 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 06, 2019 10:41 amThe problem is, we actually can't beat them enough to shut those idiots up. And I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt, our fanbase hasn’t exactly been kind to them in the past (and vice versa), but the two App fans over there right now have been very courteous. And in return they’ve been treated very poorly.
I don’t know if their fans just aren’t used to having opposing fans visit to talk football, but I’d like to see them engage in actual football related conversations.

Honestly, if we do lose this game, we deserve all the shit we can handle. There’s literally no reason it should be close.
If Charlotte wins, more power to them. I can only hope they go bowling. We just better strap in for a long disastrous season.

That Hunter guy needs to stay off the Crack pipe. No way AkeemDavisGaither & Co give up more than 20. I think Charlotte "trick plays" their way to 10 or 17 points, max. Get used to hearing Akeem's name alot tomorrow.Apple@chin1 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 06, 2019 10:00 pmHas anyone read this steamy pile of crap yet?
