Re: Board of trustees
On a serious note, I’m starting to hear a lot of real talk that it is Gattis. Like I’ve said, I’m not Sheffter or Mort, but I do have quality sources and they are all starting to think it’s Gattis based on their information.

Whoever it is, I hope Ivey stays on and they prepare him for the HCIC gig as my feelings are the next HC will be a short term hire with bigger aspirations.

Re: Board of trustees
Maybe, but using peanut oil takes away from the “fried”-ness in my opinion. Point being, when someone says, “let’s pick up some fried chicken”, you don’t go to Chic Fil A. Calling Chic Fil A fried chicken is like calling brisket, BBQ.AppSC wrote: ↑Wed Dec 12, 2018 2:23 pmIt is fried. Just like KFC.NattyBumppo'sRevenge wrote: ↑Wed Dec 12, 2018 1:39 pm
CFA isn't fried, it's breaded and steamed, so it can't be compared.

I don’t have concrete sources, but I too have been hearing Gattis. Of course, my source is AppStateAlum on Yosef’s cabin...

Re: Board of trustees
Can't someone drive to Boone then slip DG a 20 and get some info?
Where is AppMan? Someone has to know. I think AppMan knows and he is refraining from coming onto the board to keep his mouth shut.
This board won't make it another day. I mean tomorrow we will be discussing BBQ and that will be uglier than this.

Re: Board of trustees
Went to Proper for lunch and saw a car with an Alabama plate and University of Alabama Staff parking sticker. An African-American, early thirties, athletic build got out and asked where the athletic office was.
No, I didn’t. But you can imagine what that’d be like if I did.

To echo most on here, people I know that work for the University are telling me Gattis as well. Supposedly, the team was told today by DG, but idk how true that is.

Re: Board of trustees
If DG really told the entire team today there's no way it doesn't leak sometime this afternoon/tonight lol.
I can't echo enough how phenomenal of a hire Gattis would be.

Re: Board of trustees
That's a terrible question. The question should be Lexington Style vs. Eastern Style!! It ain't even close boys!!!! Speedy's in Lexington and the rest can go pound sand especially that nasty whole hog crap they call BBQ down east.

Re: Board of trustees
Yea I agree that if that in fact did happen, then we should hear some sort of leak like you mentioned pretty soon. That being said, I'm going off of secondary and tertiary information.diehardapp18 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 12, 2018 3:28 pmIf DG really told the entire team today there's no way it doesn't leak sometime this afternoon/tonight lol.

But like you, I'd be very excited with Gattis

Re: Board of trustees
If someone can get me that house sauce from Woodlands I'll throw two butts on the Big Green Egg and we can go to hog heaven in Kernersville, NC for the bowl game on Saturday.

Re: Board of trustees
I heard the team was made aware it was not Ivey.... I don’t believe they were told who it was. Some saying Gattis could be at Media day for the Bowl (flightaware? Anyone). I just don’t see DG announcing a new HC without a commitment that Ivey would be DC. This team has been through a lot this week.....it would be a little careless

It is easier with a small regional airport with not a lot of traffic. Good luck with Nawlins airport.appstatealum wrote: ↑Wed Dec 12, 2018 3:34 pmI heard the team was made aware it was not Ivey....
