Agreed.

Also, be sure to check out Bret's work on journalnow.com. I'm told that Bret's story last week on the App-ECU series pulled in massive pageviews, so much so that the higher ups at the Journal's parent company, BH Media, took notice.
Hopefully this shows all the media in NC that these two schools draw peoples attention.

Damn. I'll be 38 for that second game in Greenville. It's too hot down there for an old man.

Could they really not have worked on moving around schedules. Games planned out almost 10 years in advance.

Why'd you have to go and do that?! I had to do the math and I'll be 40 for the 2024 game!

As a current 38-year-old, I can confirm. My first thought when seeing the 9/4 date for the Charlotte game was "Damn, that better be a night game or else I need to find out which rows are in the shade."

My thoughts exactly. 10 years? Theres a possibility this doesn't even happen with that much time in between ha. I say give the people what they want. This needed to begin within the next couple years IMO. I do understand the complexities of scheduling but still what a disappointment.

Gotta say I agree. Not really wowed by this, instead of anything groundbreaking this just fills open gaps in the schedule. Really thought the 1st game against ECU would happen sooner than 8.5 years after our announcement to move up. Didn't both schools have upcoming easy buyout games or openings / chances to shift a game around here or there within the last 2-3 years or so?

Am I missing something? The first game is Sept 2021, in awesome Bank of America stadium in Charlotte, so we have to get through the next 4 seasons and then we're on. Looks like good timing with the return trip to Miami that year not being a money game...I'd say well done DG.

I thought that at one time App was supposed to play at Wyoming on Sep 4, 2021. I don't recall seeing any changes about that.

Yet again the MMB proves that people will complain about good news. Well done DG and crew, looking forward to the series!

This game is gonna be great. I make the trip from Charlotte to every home game and now I can just walk down the street to the light rail and watch the Apps play! 4 years will fly by. I remember feeling like the Montana game was an eternity away

The game in Charlotte against UNC-Concord in 2018 will be a great warm-up for our fan base and kinda sorta help tide me over.

Well I agree the 1st game in Charlotte is awesome and it's "only" a little over 4 years away, just thinking this is low hanging fruit being picked on this one... after hearing all season about this and thinking the heavy lifting was shifting previously set schedules around, I was hoping to be playing these games sooner, rather than later... or at least the 2nd one sooner after the 1st one... hence, not a complaint, just stating not really "wowed" by this...

I do realize that securing BOA was probably a lot of work and presented it's own constraints...

Told my wife the other day that we were about to sign some games with ECU and that one was in Charlotte. She said "lets go". I haven't told her that we don't have to pack the car for a bit. I really don't care to do the math on how old I'll be.

I wish they would go forward with their plan to extend the line to Mount Mourne... I could have walked to that proposed station.

I know patience is a hard thing especially since we're still basking in the glow and excitement of 2 great seasons (and even the 3rd one back was a good one) capped with awesome bowl victories but patience is what we must learn. One advantage for the Charlotte game not being until 2021 is it allows the recruiters to use that as a carrot for the next 4 recruiting classes. Having a game even scheduled at a venue like that in our home state should send a message that we've "arrived" and are serious about our program.
