On Mountaineer talk Tuesday Doug Gillin said we had not sold out of our first allotment (2500). He said we were a little behind but close to last year's pace.

We'll be lucky if we get half the crowd we did last year.

I bought 5! Going again to Montgomery! Very inexpensive tickets - Easy drive - a pleasant city to visit - probably the least expensive boal game for fans PERIOD! Pack the Montgomery ROCK!

Unfortunately, I agree. Could look pretty pathetic on tv. Hell I'll buy a ticket for someone if they need me to.

Also, why are we directing people to the cameilla bowl site to buy tickets on appstatesports.com

Yeah we were there last year and we'll be there this year, but several of my buddies aren't coming because they've "been there, done that." My shaming attempts have been unsuccessful.

This type of attitude isn't going to help. I know you'll be there, but some fans that are on the fence might decide against going if others have a negative view.

I still haven't heard one good reason not to go this year. I don't count money, because that would keep them from going to any bowl.

No, but his statement is true. Our athletics department isn't exactly selling it as well this year either. They did a much better job hyping it last year.

I have to agree the lack of communication from athletic department is not the same. I don't see any reason why there wouldn't be as many people as last year. We are bringing more people in our group than last year.

Perhaps it was a good bit easier to sell tickets to our first bowl than to our second one in the same venue.

I am glad to see they have the events list posted, although it seems late as it's only eight days from the game.

My wife and I really want to go. I'm struggling with the decision since my grandparents are celebrating Christmas with the family the 17th and are in their mid 80s. I missed enough holiday gatherings in the past, and am not yet sure what to do. Decide for me. :)

Supporting your alma mater is noble, but time with grandparents is priceless. This comes from a person who has lost all of my grandparents as well as my parents. There will always be more great App football games but you may not get a chance to spend time with your grandparents again given their age. Besides the game will be on television.
I'd give up watching all future App games to be able to spend just one day with my grandparents.

I'm looking forward to our bowl game. It was one of my all time favorite sports memories with my son last year and I'm confident it will be special again this year! No matter how many App faithful are able to go this year, I bet it will be a loud and proud group giving our all to the black and gold!
