I've called and asked this question a few times. What the ticket office has said was that before this game they had never capped general admission tickets, but they planned to for this game. I think you are right in guessing 35kGoapps15 wrote:The 31K+ and even upper 30k crowds we had were before the bleachers in the one end zone.NewApp wrote:Probably the 31K+ we had at one or two games in the past.SpeedkingATL wrote:What exactly is the sell out number anyway? I believe they will try to fit up to 35K. Meaning roughly 5k in bleachers and the balance on the hill. Our capacity the past few years has been around 24k then it was 21500.
Just my .02.

Re: Miami Game Sold Out?
If what ticket office says is correct by never previously putting a cap on ga tickets ,my answere would be that there is not a number specifically by fire Marshall .

Re: Miami Game Sold Out?
I would assume they are going to see how many GA tickets they will sell when they go on sale to the general public. I assume there is a number that if they get close to they will expand the temporary bleachers. From there, I would assume they would put a cap and a plan into place for a any potential fire exits.

Re: Miami Game Sold Out?
How much capping of attendance is done with an outside venue (except for a few areas of the stadium) anywhere. I understand the Fire Marshall angle but a bigger concern for me would be bathroom and water facilities, which seems to be a Health Department issue more than Fire Marshall, though I don't know of any locations that have signs that have a Health Dept poster stating the legal limits.
This is my very generic signature added to each post.

Re: Miami Game Sold Out?
There is a number and it definitely is not subjective. This is a serious decision for any venue and there are multiple factors that go into the decision to set a number. We don't just make numbers up off the top of our heads.

Re: Miami Game Sold Out?
It has everything to do with egress .per the ticket office there was not a cap number . That is what lead me to say subjective and the fact that no one has offered a real number ???

subjective
adjective sub·jec·tive \(ˌ)səb-ˈjek-tiv\
Simple Definition of subjective
philosophy : relating to the way a person experiences things in his or her own mind
: based on feelings or opinions rather than facts
grammar : relating to nouns, noun phrases, or pronouns that are the subjects of verbs
The number can change based on many variables including, but not limited to, number of seats available, points of egress not only out of the stadium but also out of the seating areas themselves, space availability for shelter in place, locations of shelter in place and distance from main seating areas, egress times from venue to parking areas, distance of all parking areas from venue, etc, etc, etc....
Note the definition of subjective. Just because a number can change doesn't make it subjective. It is based on facts and years of training and experience.

Re: Miami Game Sold Out?
"all seating inventory available for sale"
I assumed there was a cap on single game tickets they'd sell this early in order to continue to sell season tickets. But, I'm getting a "season was not found" message here.
