Weren't most of these prior to the extra seating we now have available?

Just my humble opinion, but if we cant break the all time attendance record with "The U" coming to town, that speaks volumes. We need to bring the house down for Miami and show the rest of College Football what type of environment we have at "THE ROCK"! Again, just an old guys opinion.

Homecoming is not the end all like it was in the 50,60, 70's. BTW, what was the reason the other 5 were packed?

I was at the Coastal Carolina game (I think it was Corey Lynch's freshman year) and I think I remember an announced crowd of over 30K. I agree, if we can't exceed 32K for that game nothing will ever do it.

Yes it was. We started tailgating at 9am for the 8pm kickoff.

It was a long day, being my bday probably didn't help.

I'm hoping to just somehow find a last minute ticket to the U game, as I'm sure they will be expensive and hope I'll be allowed to go. Youngest's 1st bday that day.

I think Jacksonville was the season home opener, WCU/GSU were rivalries, NCCU being in state brought some fans. With decent weather and start time, I expect Wake Forest will set a new record next year.

If we're looking for a common factor in those games, I'd say it was less who we were playing than when: All between 2008-11 except Montana, in early 2012.

One other trend I noticed: 10 games, 10 W's. Obviously we were a heavy favorite in most of those, but there are a few big wins in there too. Perhaps that's an indicator what an impact a full, loud KBS can make.

May very well be, but it will be hard to beat the Miami in KBS gate, especially the gate receipts.

Where does someone get the info on attendance? I am interested in knowing the attendance for the Lenoir Rhyne game after we beat Michigan. Being from Hickory we had planned on meeting some friends from LR before the game, but that went window after September 1st. I have been to many App games, many on that list, but that day it appeared to be more people than I have ever seen at KBS. We had hard time finding parking and arrived well before the game started.

Thank you. Did not figure the game was to far out of the top 10.

That Lenoir Rhyne game was the most cramped game I've ever been at. There were literally people hanging from the trees. If we had the upper east deck for that game, we would have had 32,000.

I have had the good fortune to be at all of these games. Man those were the atmospheres I hope we can recapture. We almost had 3 30K + games in the 2010 season, at the FCS level, which is insane. I love being on TV, especially on the days where life keeps me from the mountain. But I really hope people get over that novelty sooner rather than later and start coming back to watch games in person. I agree with a previous poster. If we don't set an unbreakable record with Miami, nothing will do it save bringing State or UNC to Boone which will never happen.

I was a student at the LR game, it was crazy with people all around the stadium. First offensive play of game was a bomb for a TD to Dexter Jackson down the sideline.

All this being said are there plans to install some type of temporary bleachers for the Miami game? I would think that it would be possible to get more temp bleachers in the field house endzone. I know we have some but it would be better for fans and more intimidating to get the added seats.

You're right, they were all Homecoming or evening games. Not sure why we didn't sell out the GSU game last year. Sure it was on a Thursday night but our first Sunbelt game on national TV. Blew them out too.
