We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

Re: Speaking of brand new football stadiums....
Why would a 12,000 seat stadium cost over $60,000,000?

It will probably include little to almost no aluminum. Built for the long haul. The old "do it right the first time" philosophy so that you won't be looking back in 5 years, wondering when you can replace something that looks piecemeal for something a bit classier, and that doesn't leak like a sieve.NewApp wrote:Why would a 12,000 seat stadium cost over $60,000,000?

Re: Speaking of brand new football stadiums....
Lets say they sell 10,000 tickets per game, average 6 home games at $8 per. That is $480K per season. It will only take 125 years to break even. Even 12,000 at $10 for 11 games is $1.32M per year. That is only 45.5 years. Didn't the other massive, really expensive high school stadium out there get shut down for structural problems? Can't believe the insanity.

This (concrete stands), along with permanent seats (like the Panthers) should have been planned for KBS a long time ago. Instead were stuck with a cheap looking stop gap.

The school is going to host the three high schools in their district so maybe 15-20 years if looking at 18-20 home games a year.bigdaddyg wrote:Lets say they sell 10,000 tickets per game, average 6 home games at $8 per. Re: Speaking of brand new football stadiums....
I have no idea how long their season runs but it could be 16 or 17 from August to December, and they may do some things on Saturday and there would very likely be a JV team and other sports as well.NewApp wrote:There's not18-20 Friday nights in a Fall season is there?McLeansvilleAppFan wrote:The school is going to host the three high schools in their district so maybe 15-20 years if looking at 18-20 home games a year.bigdaddyg wrote:Lets say they sell 10,000 tickets per game, average 6 home games at $8 per. Still too much to spend in my view.

I forgot to include the revenue from the luxury boxes. Probably will pay for itself in a year. LOL
