If we were coming off the season JMU just had, the conversations about the portal and the depression would be minimal. I truly think winning solves everything or at least makes other aspects tolerable. On that note, I’ve never been more apathetic about our program. I really don’t think we’re anywhere close to winning. I have little faith in Dowell, not because of the record last year, but because we clearly regressed as the season went on.

This won’t be a popular take at all, but if we’re truly committed to playing mercenary football, we should probably quit fundraising and wasting needed cash for roster development on really stupid stuff, like the tennis team getting a $9M facility. Sorry if that hurts any feelings. That’s a lot of money on top of the planned east side expansion we no longer need (based on ticket sales). College football has moved on to the new era, I’m just waiting on our athletic department to do the same.

Ok, did the ticket office reduce the number of available season tickets compared to previous year?

No idea. Since my last post, I did learn that they did sell some to people on the waitlist. Doesn’t answer the question, but at least there was some folks there and ready to absorb the attrition.

Maybe it is not easy to do via technology, it would seem they could put the one time code in your MAF account versus an email.. that, for some go to spam..

I can understand having small groups of tickets scattered around that couldn't be filled due to various reasons, but when there are sections that remain mostly empty at the lowest giving level it makes you wonder.

Nobody knows for sure. For the record I think we will have a winning season this year. The SBC East is wide open so we should be able to win 7-8 games. If we don't then something is wrong.
